Long story, was using i/o channel 4 to output my renishaw probe report. but it appears out memory card slot is fried and wont be getting fixed until next week. Im curious of other ways to get my data report like using channel 9 for the embedded ethernet? which this machine has. I cant use the rs232 port. any advise? ive read you cant use channel 5 for the data server.

Ive been trying to report onto the hard drive but I cant find where its dumping the report or how to get it back to a computer, unless im using the wrong I/O channel?? what channel for a fanuc 18i? (kitamura hx500) I cant rs232 because I dont think we have any cable for that left since we switched over to FTP and ethernet cable. I was just looking for a quick fix friday we have a guy coming in today to fix our card hopefully..

The Dataserver's I/O channel is 5.

Try using 5, then you should be able to download the files via FTP.

Just a thought.

Ive read that it doesnt work for dataserver, so naturally I tried anyhow  and it was a no go, the program ran just fine with no errors, but i was unable to locate any report files from the probe. I have got my card working again but itd be nice to not have to use it, and im assuming rs232 might be the only other way?
