mpmaster help drilling cycles

Recommended Posts

I'm using mpmaster with Mastercam 2017. My machine is a Haas VF3. When I post a chip break drill cycle, I get an "I" argument and I want to have a "Q" instead. My machine doesn't like the "I" for some reason, maybe because it's an older machine (1997) Can someone tell me how to change this? And I'd like to get rid of the sequence numbers. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the answer. I was able to successfully get rid of the sequence numbers. Can you be a LOT more clear about the "I" vs the "Q"? I've never really messed with trying to work on changing a post

Give you reseller a ring they can walk you through it. Not something for a novice to tackle IMHO. Do a search this post forum there are tons of examples here that might help you get it sorted.

If its the Haas post, there are now two different peck drilling options. Haas has a the ability to use I,J, and K for changing your peck depth. Where Q is just a constant peck depth.

Use the mcam Haas post and use the standard peck drilling cycle, not the descending one. It used to be a switch in the post. Now they give you two different peck drilling options.
