Control Def question 4 axis

In my control def under files/mill I have the option to select 1 of 3 things in the Transform/Nesting Operation options.

Currently, the post I've been using for the last couple of years has "Source Operations Only" checked.

And a newer post that my reseller sent me a few months ago has "Transform/Nesting and source operation parameters" checked.

Since I don't have multiaxis and only do 3 and 4 axis stuff, is there a scenario where this would hurt me? I'm not understanding the difference between the 3 options.

From the help menu:

Transform/Nesting operation options

Allows you to control how operation parameters are processed when processing a transform operation. Select which type of operation parameters you want Mastercam to write to the .ops file.

Your choices are:

  • Transform/Nesting operation parameters only: Processes only transform operation parameters.
  • Source operation parameters only: Processes only source operation parameters.
  • Transform/Nesting and source operation parameters: Processes both source and transform operation parameters.
