MasterCam and coolant

I have been a user for many years and always wondered why Mastercam hides to coolant two levels deep in the edit tool menu? why not put it up front and give an option to have it on for every tool..... Some times if I edit a tool and then post the program, the coolant will turn off in the middle of a cut!  This is such a nuisance, Grrr....  I need to go back to the M/C program and check every operation that uses the tool, check reinitialize speeds and feeds what a pain.

I always use the option "Use tools step peck coolant" checked on

Or am I just stuck in my old ways and need to learn something new.....

2 ways to handle it.....choose on or the other as mixing can lead to many of the issues you currently are seeing....

#1 When you create tools, make sure they are saved to the libray with coolant on.....once you get into the habit, it's 2nd nature

#2 Go into your Operation defaults and set coolant "On" in each operation....from that point any new op created will have coolant on....

I prefer the tool methos as I have 3 coolant options and don't have the flexibility at the op default level, so they would need to be changed on the fly....The tool library option comes in with the tool coolant option preset.

JM2C YMMV

This is what i've done,  AND  the "Use tool's step, peck, coolant" in the Machine Group Properties is set.

But it is not rock solid.

Now i have the (X-style) coolant added to my setup sheet so we can check before sending the program to the machine
