Noob Questions

Hi y'all, made one post already, solved it pretty quick. Thought I'd start another one for all my other questions. If you'd like to give a quick answer I'd appreciate it, but chances are I'll figure it out sooner or later.

Right now I'm cutting the outside edge of this plate of honeycomb material, which has to be cut a certain way. The cut I'm trying to make is on a filleted chamfer on the outer perimeter. I'm using the multisurface command and using the one-way cut feature. I assumed (hoped) this would mean it would make a down cut from top to bottom of the part, retract return to the top of the part, then do the next top to bottom cut (to push the material downward). Instead, it's more of a zigzag pattern where when it returns to the top of the part it is doing so in a diagonal line while still on the cutting surface.

Anyway to make it retract between each cut?
