Machine Simulation Workpiece Transform Problem

SKATOUTLE

Hey guys trying to build a a machine for Simulation. I built the machine with the origin at the machine home, and am using the "Workpiece_Transform" in the Kinematic tree to put the work piece in the correct location on the machine. Problem is that on the first OP the piece is about 5 to 6 inches to low, but when it gets to the second Op it raises up to the correct location.  Any thoughts on what I am doing wrong or is this just a glitch? FYI, I was able to replicate this issue using the same tool paths and one of the pre-built machines that come with Mastercam.

Thanks

Nick

I have experienced the same thing.  Are you changing the origin location away from 0,0,0 in the mastercam file by chance?  That is a no-no with mach sim.

Hmm Not exactly sure what you mean by this? Mastercam origin is the same as the work offset in my file if that is what you are referring too?

I have had odd stuff happen with files sometimes.  Try to start a new file with some fresh ops and see what it does.  If it does the same thing something is funky, if it doesn't then there is something up with the nci or some mach sim ghost file related to the file you have already been working with.  May be worth looking into dumping the machsim temp files.
