Mastercam 2017 dynamic optirough check surface problem

Hello everyone

I created a check surface on the outside of my part model that I don't want the tool to cut.  There doesn't seem to be an option for setting stock to leave so Mastercam treats the surface like a drive surface.  Check walls and floors on the stock to leave page is greyed out.  Is there a way to set stock to leave or is this a bug.

Use steep shallow cut depths to stop it from going past the depth you want.

 

In geometry there is a box for floor and wall stock to leave
