  1. And furthermore, after unpinning, now my 2021 icon won't combine. What gives?
  2. Yes, both are pinned to the taskbar. Yes, it's Windows 7.
  3. Yes. Right-click -> Properties -> Taskbar buttons -> Always combine, hide labels. I do have it checked. It works for the 2021 icon, but not the 2022 icon.
  4. This is going to be petty compared to other questions on here, but here goes anyway. Why does the MC2022 button not combine in the taskbar when the program is open like the MC2021 button does?
  5. I'm not sure how to word the subject line. Anyway, it's a 2.000" hole, .500" endmill, 2D Pocket, helix entry. Now, cutter engagement is much higher at the center of the hole than closer to the OD of the hole. My programmed feedrate is too high when the cutter is at the center and just starting to spiral outwards. Is there a way to program a feedrate that compensates for this sort of thing?
  6. Waaay tighter than .002 - .004". Loosening them up improved things dramatically. Thanks.
  7. Haas Mini Mill 2, Mastercam 2021. I am having a really hard time making this, and a few other, high-speed toolpaths run smoothly. I have played with arc filter settings, smoothing settings, entering G187 P3, and my toolpath is a choppy stuttering mess. Could someone take a look at my file and see if I'm missing something? Thanks. 10173CVEL2.NC
  8. That's exactly what I'm trying to accomplish, but within a surface toolpath. I can't say if it's bad practice to create and offset wireframe. I do not have 5-axis.
  9. Bummer. Thanks for taking a look, though.
  10. I have attached the part I'm working on, the surfaces in orange. I would usually cut areas like this with Area Rough and either Raster, Equal Scallop or Hybrid to finish. However, in this case, the radius is .0625", so multiple passes down the middle with a 1/8" ballnose would do the job. I can get Raster to make a pass down the middle, but only at final depth. 2D Contour with Cut Parameters -> Contour Type -> 3D is close, but it jams the tool straight down into the stock on the downhill move. Is there a way to accomplish what I'm looking for? Thanks. raster test.mcam
  11. I'm struggling to understand what the options under Linking Parameters -> Fitting are doing (Fully Trim Pass, Minimize Trimming, Machine Entire Pass). I've read the help file and I just can't make sense of it. I've always left it to default and haven't scrapped a part yet because of it, but I'd rather not have that be the judge. Thanks in advance.
  12. I have a rather simple operation but I'm struggling with it more than I should. I want to cut the wall and the .050" radius on this part as shown in the picture. Step down the wall, step down the radius. Lead in and Lead out straight off the part. That's it. I got Surface Rough Contour working well enough, but I had to draw more of a boundary than I wanted to. Could someone please set me straight? 10068_Large-Slide-Wedge.mcam
  13. I see. I've done multiple planes and offsets before, but this "repeating the program" thing is new to me. We've got a fixture for four electrodes, and that's my current assignment.
  14. You must have seen that post before I edited it! I fixed that one myself. So that's what "Disable posting on source operations" means; it ghosts them, and then you post the Transform op only. I really appreciate this. Thanks.
  15. Whoops. And for that matter, I made a dummy program here just to keep the file size down. I'm looking to see this toolpath posted four times, each with a different WCS, and I can't seem to figure it out. multofsttest.mcam
  16. Sure thing. I figured out why the plane wouldn't change, but in the post, the Transform operation still isn't posting G55. Toolpath Group HST, ops 1-5 are what I'm trying to duplicate on another plane. multofsttest.mcam
  17. I'm still having trouble translating to planes. I've got the planes defined, all with a new offset. Under the Translate tab, Between Planes is selected. I select the From plane (my G54 plane) and the To plane (my G55). If I green-check out of the box, and then go back in, the To plane has reverted to the G54 plane. What am I missing?
  18. That's what I ended up doing on my second attempt. The first attempt was posting only G54, then copying, pasting and editing the WCS in the post. That's fine for only 7 ops, but what a pain. I think the guy before me copy and pasted at the control, but no one knows for sure.
  19. I apologize if this is too off-topic. Please delete if it is. This is Solidworks 2020. The pictures tell the story. I have two parts in assembly and when I "rightclick -> hide" one part, the part hides, but the surface I clicked on stays highlighted. I need to click out in space to un-highlight it. Can anyone with SW experience help me with what's going on? Thanks.
