  4. Thanks so far for " some" comfort, just got a real winner, using surfaces and went into Texture, there is a help button so I pressed it and the message is!!!! "This help topic is currently under development"!!! That's a great help. Still I am still able to see the funny aspects of it. chris
  5. Hi guy's, I was wondering if I am the only user of mastercam art in the world?? absolutely nothing on the forum. I am the first user in Australia ( I am told) and so do not have anyone to discuss issues with, like how to "puff" up a complex vector drawing quickly ( been checking out the Artcam site and man, they have it easy, maybe I should have gone there,) however I did not because I believed that Mastercam being the biggest it would produce a great new product in ART with all the bells and whistles that Artcam has and a lot more??? ( not so sure after completing all of the tutorials,). The engraving one leaves you high and dry and is not very detailed or offer simple ways to do stuff ie: it tells you to alter all the machining parameters to suit their picture, Why?? surely the parameters are defaulted by the choice of tool and sure, you can overide if required??? beats me. and their are no explantions as to why you should alter the parameters, I can understand putting in the depth of cut, but why "deselect retract" etc!!!! I would like to place a sample of the drawings I am trying to machine, but there does not seem to be an attachment icon or a place to fill in ( possible dumb old me just not looking). I actually find this forum a little odd as well, in that we cannot view the reselers forum, why the hell not, surely a heap of queries that would be pertinant to me are already answered there?? and a final gripe on the forum, why not seperate it into, Mill, Turning, Routing, Wire etc to save us from scanning heaps of irrevelant posts. Thats enough for 1 day good luck to any other Art users that are having the same doubts as I am. chris flint
