  1. We have a couple older Okuma 4va milling machines and a newer Okuma MB56. We are building blow mold cavities, so we do a lot of 3d milling. We are having a lot of tolerancing issues since going over to X7 that we did not have before in previous versions because we could suppress the refine toolpath option, which I don't believe you can do anymore. I know this option is supposed to give you a better surface finish, but we had issues where are older Okuma's would not run these programs, but if you suppressed it and use the regular tolerancing it was fine. We do not have this issue if we can finish in our MB56, but we usually cannot do that because of other projects. When running in these older machines we are running them through an Okuma DNCB off of the computer and I guess as these programs get larger it has problems reading far enough ahead. Problems we are having are cutter stopping while in a cut then going again causing gigs in the part and also tool not running close to the federate it is programmed too. Seems this option cannot be suppressed anymore I would love to get some feedback on some parameters to try or any other options that would be helpful. I am sure we are not the only ones who have had this issue and I would really like to learn to use this refine toolpath. Thanks, Clay
  2. That's right. I knew it was somewhere in there. Thank you very much.
  3. In X5 where do I go to disable refine toolpath option and go back to regular tolerancing? Thanks,
  4. I cannot for the life of me remember where you go to disable the refine toolpath option in mastercam X5. Can someone please give a little guidance. Thanks,
  5. Found it by the clock. Thanks I was going crazy.
  6. I am getting this same error message and I cannot find this taskbar anywhere can someone help me please?
  7. I just hooked up my new computer, loaded the updated version of X+, and have it set in my configurations to use that for my set up sheet. I had been just right clicking in my ops manager and selecting set up sheet to use it before, but that is not working right now. I am sure it is something simple, but what am doing wrong? Right now I get nothing when select set up sheet. Clay
  8. We just bought a brand new Okuma mb56 with what they call a g spec package. It has the blum laser, chip blaster, reneshaw probe, and super nerbs. The only posts that gosiger has is for Cam Tool and I use Mastercam, so that was no help for me. Does anyone out there have a similar set up that might have a post working. I was told by our mastercam dealer it could take weeks for them to do me one up right now. Clay
  9. thank you very much we will try this fist thing monday. I will give a update the first of next week. have a good weekend. Clay
  10. OK I checked that out and you are 100% correct. So what do you think needs to be changed in the machine settings. I was told the radius on the tool is .030 and he has in the machine that it is a X.030 radius Z.030 radius but it cuts the radius big.
  11. thanks going to try that right now.
  12. I changed the compensation to the center of the radius in my tool parameter page, and it seemed to have not over cut the radius in backplot. I am running a part now in the machine to see if that fixes it. I had the tool comp set for the theoretical tip and now it is the center of the radius. Should that make a difference?
