  1. I wanted to say thanks to Roger,Since you fixed it I have to say it the best wire post I've used yet.
  2. If it's like mine it wont move without the G00 added it just sits there. Because the feed is so low or the G01 is canceled when it reads the G40. I know it's a pain, it's not hard to edit the program but it would be nice for to do it with no editting.
  3. I just figured part of it out. If I program a straight burn it puts in the G00 for every position move but if I program it to burn a taper it leaves the G00 out.
  4. This is crazy but we programed another job this morning and it had the G00's in the there but this file was programed in version 9 and imported into X-2. I'm going to reprogram it and see if that's it.
  5. I'm running a mits fx-20 wire machine and manually threading the wire my post is outputting an moo (cut wire) then x and y positions But no G00 it puts in a G00 at the beginning of the program but not for any of the other position moves from there on out. And it only output a M58 before a M02 And I'd like it to put one in before each position move after it turns off the wwater, wire and machining then an M58. Where do I begin to look in the post to get it to do this. Thanks in advance
  6. That's right! Thanks Guys for the help I've got it fixed and working. I could change the machine to 5 place decimals but theres no real advantage. Thanks again
  7. Thanks I'll check that out I figured the block delete out it was forcing it in on the thread and cut strings I removed pfbld form the string and it's out of there. Now if I can get it to 4 place decimals
  8. I'm programming a Mits. FX20 with X-2 and when it generates the program it has 5 places after the decimal point I only want 4 and I can't seem to make it change plus it inputs a block delete symbol at every M00 and I can't get it to quit doing that either I can get it to put them after every sequence number and I set the post to zero it does away with them except on the moo's Thanks in advance.
  9. Yes both are set at the same baud rate our mills are like everyone elses blink and it's done. but since going to windows xp our mits went from 2400 with windows nt to 300 with xp it's like watching paint dry a snail cross a 4 lane highway!!
  10. I'm using cimco editor and sending it through the rs 232 port it sends fine at 300 baud anyting higher and it gives an error and both machines are set up the same.
  11. Since going to windows xp I can only send programs to our Mits Wire Machines at 300 baud anything else gives me an error. Is there another way I can send programs faster or some setting I can change to get it faster? Thanks in advance.
  12. Thanks, the only thing bad about that is the hard drive is down on the dos side of it. I tried going to the command mode and doing what the manual said but it didn't work either. Thanks again
  13. I'm trying to get a program off a floppy drive on a Fadal 32mp control and I can't get it to work and there operators manual isn't very clear either. Any Ideas?
  14. If You move your cursor down to the bottom of your screen where it shows system color and right click it will ask you to select the enities to change colors. then select the fixture then enter and it will bring up the color chart select the color you want then click the check mark.
  15. I used smart cam years ago and it was about as aquaward(sp) as trying to type with one hand. If I remember correctly if you didn't fill out the setup page and create all the tools to begin with and you forgot something you might as well delete it all and start over then you had to selct the tool which was called a step select the geometry with step it was nothing like mastercam. It was kind like gibbs cam to me which I couldn't stand either. I love mastercam I program anything on the fly and if want to change directions on how I'm going to machine the part I don't have to delete the file and start over. I rather program with nothing but a note pad and a print as to have to use smartcam
  16. That's what I needed to know. Because if I use the wheel to zoom in onece it get to 0 if I roll it any more it's sorry for the inconviencie everytime. Thanks Guys
  17. Oh I forgot I'm using X2 mill level 3 wire level 2 and solids Thanks Perry
  18. When I zoom in on a piece of geometry and it's as far in as it can zoom if I roll the wheel to go further it shuts the program down anybody else had this problem?
  19. We have. If we're running x2 then try to open ver 9 it freezes strange thing is if I click on X2 to make it my active window then minimize it 9 will be active. But I have tried actually programing out of both at the same time. But as far as what's causing it I haven't got a clue.
  20. Yep, I saved it. It's apt to be a ramondm file that all of a sudden it changes. and then I can select another file and it'll go back to the way i had it seems to do it when I go from english to metric now that I think about it. Do I need to say my backgrond color in the metric config file also?
  21. Anybody else experienced this ? I can open up a file and my background is like i set it. Then open up another file and the background color will be the default blue I thought it was kind of strange. Mastercam X2 Mill Level 3 Mastercam X2 Wire Level 2 Mastercam X2 Solids Mastercam X2 FiveAxis
  22. Thanks that's what I did and it didn't work that why I thought I'd ask and see if the one that had got it to work had done anything diffirently. Which the first time I installed X2 it gave me an editor error and wouldn't post a pro. so i uninstalled it then reinstalled it and it worked. And it may be part of our security that's not letting me download the patch correctly.
