  1. Hi Guys, Many thanks for your help. Unfortunately, we have to project the letters etc onto a multisurface, before toolpathing. Hoping to keep the original txt as a note that can be edited quickly and re projected onto the surfaces. regards bob
  2. Does anyone have a good C-hook or something to create serial numbers (txt)without having to create Letters for each number every time. Apparently Edgecam keeps the original Note, which can be updated and reprojected as geometry for the next toolpath regen. Any advice will be welcome. Regards Bob Hill TSS
  3. We are wanting to devlope the roll geometry for each progressive roll needed to build a machine for the rolling of sheet metal panels.eg, roof sheeting, fencing etc. At the moment the customer is hit and miss creating each roll and then turning them on his cnc lathe. We need to use some software to design automatically the roll forms required and output as dxf,dwg etc so we can take them into Mastercam for the toolpathing. regards bob
  4. Can anyone advise the roll development software they use to generate the geometry of each roll and the output translators it has to get into mastercam regards bob from tss
  5. Hi Guys, Be careful where you put the tool def. If you are drip feeding you need to put them with the appropriate tool call otherwise they dont get read at the tool call. If you are dumping the program into the controller, you can list them at the top. Also, depending on the control, you may not have them at all, ie a tool table in the machine. Other differences between models include Pecking Cycle outputs, ie neg value for set up etc and pitch or feed for tapping (rigid or floating holder)This post is set up very well. you can use polar arcs for your helical entries and circular milling. It dont think it outputs polar if you chain a spline which breaks into arcs. Also look at the extended range of drill cycles. If you are doing large programmes and a lot of drip feeding, download TNCREMO from the Heidenhain website. It talks direct to the controller and frees up mastercam for more programming time. regards bob hill oz dealer.
  6. Hi Greg, Maybe you can give me a call. I am the Australian dealer for Mastercam and have re-sellers in all states. If you dont get the support you require and need assistance with posts, you should give me a call prior to going worldwide with complaints. We have a top guy in Melbourne who can customise 5 axis posts if the machine info is complete, we have generic 5 axis posts for both Fanuc type and Mill plus, also we have a team of post guys at Mastercam to solve any problems.none of thes cost more than a phone call to find out. Have you tried any of these optons. Phone me 02 4455 3904 Kindest regards bob hill
