  1. Have you checked to make sure your not chaining splines?? Analyze your entities and see.

If they are go to modify, convert to arcs, all, splines and it will convert what it can to lines and arcs. This will fix your tiny movement problem.

  2. Thanks CADCAM,

That's exactly what I was looking for.

Who are some of the dealers and or users that specialize in 5-axis posts? Who's the best to talk to at Mastercam?

I've got 3 and 4 axis post down real well but need more advice on 5-axis.

    Any help is GREATLY appreciated!!!

  3. Is there a generic 5-axis post like the stock MPFAN out there somewhere???

I have a new Matsuura VG800 with a Tsudakoma tilt rotary table- A=Tilt C=Rotary A tilts about the X axis and C rotates about Z axis

This type of setup seems to be pretty common around here.

I have some customers who have similar setups and would like a post that is "easily" ha ha customized for either 5-axis positioning or full 5-axis contouring etc.

BTW, the new 5-axis multisurf toolpaths are way to cool!!!! cool.gif

  4. This document is EXCELLENT!!!

I've been playing with work offsets in WCS and the stock MPFAN doesn't seem to kick out G54 but will do G55 G56.... should'nt it set to 0 in offsets???

Mastercam should print this Document out in their next newsletter.

  5. I have some minor confusion with the new WCS in V9. If I set a new WCS in the WCS manager it seems to override Tplane and Cplane. Is it supposed to do it all for you? If you change Tplane after setting WCS manager it seems to do strange things posting. confused.gif
