  1. Hello JoshC. Thank you for the link and modify the plans setting up. I forgot to note that we use Top/Top way for programming because we use to switch program from Horizontal / Vertical due to schedule conflict and we don't need post out B degree with angles (like B0., B90, B180...). The B angle always post out B0. then machinist input those angle provided to machine when setting up. Best regards. Metric

Good morning all, Recently our company switch back to Mastercam -They use Gibbscam for years- Please take a look the file included here to see if i make any wrong plane selected for horizontal programming?- The Top/Right/Left way is choose because similar with Gibbscam has been using.     Hello All, Thank you for the help. I also though about perpendicular because drill holes go through 2 sides of tube. Look like customer wants the drill not walk from top & bottom. Again thank you a lot. Metric. P.S Ron don't worry about the "Metric" thing. I'm not seeing any problem on that...

  8. Good morning all, Thank you for inputs. The picture is top side that i plan to remove all material & finish top face and outer periphery included the boss. The 2 inner bores will rough out for last op to bore them, because to tight tolerance & squareness(+/-.0005"). Yes Colin the second op will finish back side (which is identical shape like top side) with soft jaw & plugs to prevent the collapse. (Customer wanted anneal not "haft - hard") Hi Colin, With 3/4 end mill can i go one shot full depth of cut ? (8% step over). Can i use coolant instead of air cool?(We don't have air blow system on our shop). Thank you very much for help. MDT
  9. Hello Bro's, I have a part 1.00" thick (4.0" X 3.0" X 1.0"- 4140 annealed) need to mill out a lot of excessive stock on 40 tapper vertical machine. Please give me some advise on feed & speed. I plan to use 3/4" diameter, 7/8" LOC solid carbide from Kennametal for it. Thanks.
  10. At my company we use : M5; G94; F(per minus). I think you need to use G1 instead of G71 cannel cycle. Hope this is work for you. MDT

  21. Hello friends, Is there switch on the post to post out feed rate per revolutions? My company just switch to Mastercam from Gibbscam last week. So I have to learn to minor modify post to have some program to to test run in the mean time waiting to order all posts. Best regards. Metric

  24. Hi all' Thank you for replied. The hole location is +/-.005" and it's blind hole, they don't give me the extra deep at bottom for reamer goes. that is why i can not use reamer. Regards.
  25. Hello all, Please give me some advise to drill a .1255" +/-.0005" hole at 2.5" deep on aluminum. A Sanvik rep. introduce me the CorroDrill solid carbide coolant fed will do the job. Any body using it? Thank you MDT
