  1. Yes, it's a real project and to get it done I just fudged a line that was very close to tangency. I then extruded the profile around the bosses to create a solid from which I created a toolpath. But, of course, as engineers we like to "play" with things, right? So, I got thinking "Why won't that work"? At first, I thought I wasn't doing something properly and finally gave up and asked for help from you guys.
  2. Thanks, Thad. I tried what you suggested but got the same result. Would it have anything to do with my internet connection? I'm on an LAN behind a router. skyking
  3. Anybody help me with FTP downloading? When I try to log on to "cadcam's ftp site" I get "searching for file" but nothing ever happens. Do I need a password or other software? Thanks, skyking
  4. Hey Paul, Thanks for the upload and help. I'll report back with my result. skyking
  5. sorry dude meh thinks yer scrooood Thanks for the encouragement! skyking
  6. Steve, I tried that already and all that it saves is the toolpath. There are no surfaces regenerated. Have you done this procedure yourself? I may be doing something wrong but I don't think so. Thanks for your help,
  7. When I do a reverse post, all I get is the original toolpath. I need the original geometry. Is there a piece of software anywhere that will take the tool characteristics and the .NC or .NCI and develop the original geometry or something that I can edit easily back to my original geometry?
  8. Is there a way to restore the *.mc9 file from the *.nci or *.nc file?
