  1. Append is one possibility. In the original poster's situation it would more appear to be that the first operation was created before the file was saved. This gives the default name of t.nc. The ops made the next day after saving the file were given the name of the mcx file, as set in the options. There are many ways to control those names in settings, configuration, toolpath manager, as per many requests to add that in. Set that up as needed and then just be aware that the results stem from your settings.
  2. It sounds as if you are trying to run the apps files as a c-hook. At least I get that same error when running appmch8.dll as a c-hook. Make sure you have unzipped the appcmh81-1016.zip files into your mcam8apps folder and that you also have unzipped the appcfg-1016.zip files into your mcam8chooks folder. The appcfg.dll is run as a c-hook to configure the available options and the appmch8 file is used automatically when you do a toolpath. You do not need to run it as a c-hook.
  3. Dave, I have logged both of the default location concerns as requests. This means that they will be reviewed and possibly implemented in a future release. There is a bug in v8.0 where it does not allow you to change the default post (as you already know) through screen / configure / files. Here is what you have to do for now: 1) Go to screen / configure / nc settings / operation defaults 2) Open your defaults file 3) Right click and select Job Setup 4) There is a button there that has a post name on it. Click that button and select the post you would like as your default. As Allan stated, the software will initialize the post that was active when the file was saved when you get it. There is a way to enable/disable that option. You can go to screen / configure / nc settings. There is a check box for "reset post to default on file/get". Turn that on or off depending on what you are after. Jamie Tech Support CNC Software, inc.
  4. Kelly, Here is an old trick that I have in an e-mail about v6 and MCEdit. This should help you with deleting large blocks of data. 1) Highlight first line. 2) Edit, Find, click Extend Selection, and type in text at end of section 3) Click Find Now. 4) Press Delete This assumes that you know what the text is at the end of the block. It isn't perfect but it will help out quite a bit over deleting line by line. Jamie Tech Support CNC Software, Inc. [This message has been edited by Jamie Mattison (edited 08-11-2000).]
  5. Kathy, You can get to the graphical setup sheet by right clicking in the op manager, selecting Options and then Setup Sheet. Jamie
