I´m aware that nowadays almost nobody is irreplaceable, but I think that guys like you, like Dave, are very rare to find out also.

Hi Anthony, actually, at this moment I´m not using Cimco, because I´m working in a new company (Brand new) and there we don´t use Mastercam. We are in process to purchase a Cimco complete solution for NC programs management, Cimco Editor and DNC Max. I quoted a complete solution with the dealer here in Brazil, and I talked a lot with Jonh, your colleague (I hope so). Our group has a bunch of copies of Cimco Edit in Germany, and we will have here also. The only feature that is missing so far is the implementation of workplan transformations (In our case G7 - Heidenhain Millplus) for the blackplot function in the newer version of Cimco Edit. I talked with a programmer from Cimco, and he told me that Cimco intends to implement it, but does not have a date planned to do it.

I am happy for having given this suggestion for my bosses and they accepted it. Definitely, Cimco suite are the best solution of this kind of systems among the softwares in the market. As I told you, I´m an addict, and I´m anxious to get my drug again!

Definitely, once you did use Cimco Edit and discover all the possibilities that it offer (or at least 30% of them), is very hard to leave it.

Cimco is one of the most powerful drugs of CNC programmer´s world.

I´m a confessed addict of it....

Did you check the default values at the end of your post file?

I think that you can change the matrix settings on your post, in order to change the orientation of the coordinate system and to facilitate the programming.

Yes, it´s me. But in the past, I commited the mistake to work in a company with a pirate copy of Mastercam. Well, when I got in the board for the first time I was working in a licensed company, but a when Dave kick my xxxx :-), I was working in another company with a pirate copy, and when Dave called to dealer and checked my ID, I was not working in that company anymore. For me was one of the most horrible things in my life so far, but I´ve had to understand. I lost in that event all your knowledge, that for me was wonderfull. Now I´m working in a big company and we are looking for a CAD/CAM system, because the company is brand new and don´t have yet a CAM system, and I suggested MC, but I believe that will be CATIA V5.

I would like to say that I never had pride to work with a non-legal copy, actually was always fighting with my bosses to purchase a legal copy, and after this happening I tried hard to get a new job to stop to work with pirate software. About 7 months ago I got a new one. But I still having an excellent relationship with the dealer in Brasil.
