  1. Eric Wenger, Yes I have found that out myself now. I just didnt think it would post that if it had no lead in/lead out but the wear comp. must force it to spit out the G41. I used computer and have had no problems, glad I found this out about contour ramp doing this and not something that could of been more costly. Thanks for your help fellas
  2. htm01, 90rsgnuguy42, Im in the process of trying computer to see if thats the problem. Since Im using wear it must want to output the G41 for adjustments on the control, but there is no lead in or out so it shouldnt be posting the G41. Thanks for you help guys, I also got Mcamnut helping me on the sidelines
  3. htm01, I understand what you are saying but I dont feel that is the problem. I put a .0001" lead in/lead out on line and arc and got the same result. Is this something I would have to change in my post to output the G41 in the proper place ? N20 G0 G90 G54 X1.3864 Y-2.2499 S6200 M3 N25 G43 H1 Z.5 / N30 M8 N35 Z.1 N40 G1 Z0. 4. Im using contour ramp, no lead in/lead out, to rough out a 2.5" hole in 3/4" plates with a 20MM 2 flute inserted cutter leaving a .010" bottom to beat the slug out with a hammer, cause you know its high tolerance, then running a sperate program using a normal contour to finish the hole with a 1/2" EM. The problem I am having is after I run the two programs and call up the 1st one to start agian the cutter will come down like normal start the contour and 1/3 of the way around the contour will stop then rapids to the next quadrant while the tool is still buried. Here's a peice of the ramp program: N15 T1 M6 N20 G0 G90 G54 X3.1138 Y-2.25 S6200 M3 N25 G43 H1 Z.5 / N30 M8 N35 Z.1 N40 G1 Z0. F3. N45 G3 X2.25 Y-1.3862 Z-.02 I-.8638 J0. F60. Im using wear comp left, nothing in my offset register. Haas VFOE, programing was done in V9., modified MPHAAS Post. This happens about 8 times out of 10 and is getting hard on inserts. Dose anyone have any ideas why this is happening, I was thinking that its my cutter comp. sorry for the novel guys, but I wanted to make sure you had all the info.
  5. Is there anything in your offset register on the controller ? Edit: after looing up the alarm I dont see how it could be a comp problem either
  6. what browser are you using ? (IE 7, Firefox ..)
  7. Sure ... look here http://www.emastercam.com/ftp.html
  8. You mean that sticky that made it to page 2 again ?
  9. Thanks a lot Qmp, coming up fine now Sorry for the verison inconvience.
  10. Qmp, Did you generate these files in X2 ? Cause Im getting a error when I try to open them, saying that it was created in a newer verison. Im running XMR2 not X2. If it isnt too much trouble for you could you save them as X and not X2 and send them again ?
  11. Thanks QMP, They are on the FTP ftp://www.ppcadcam.com/Mastercam_forum/Fi...onverted_to_MC/ the file names are: upright_front_left.prt upright_front_right.prt upright_rear_left.prt upright_rear_right.prt again thanks alot
  12. Micheal thanks for the reply, I know this, but when I go to open the file(s) I am asked for the access code. The add-on is there but in order to use this feature you have to buy the upgrade. Thats what I get from what Ive read on here when I did a search.
  13. Hi all I have recived a job that I need to quote and machine, the files I have are .prt. I was wondering if someone could do me a favor and convert the 4 files for me so I can get the ball rolling on this. At our shop we never deal with .prt files and dont really have the need for the add- on. Until now. If someone has the time to help me out, let me know and I'll email the files. This would be greatly appreicated. Thanks
  14. Yeah no luck. Ive tried changing just about every combination of settings that you mentioned and ones I thought of. I think it's time for the company to invest in some CAD software for me. But they'll just file request that in the employee raise folder.
