  1. Dowty, the wall thickness ranges from .09-.06" with the tallest wall being 1.5" and .09" thick most of the wall I will be cutting .800 tall and .06" thick I was going to finish the wall at 2 depths and several passes (3) to to get to finish.
  2. I have a .750 Fraisa 10 fl carbide endmill to finish Titanium (TI-6AL-4V) with the speeds and feeds the rep gave me try were 1680RPM 37IPM with no more than .01 width of cut. I will only be finishing walls with this tool floors rib tops will be finished with a 4FL Fraisa spline-cut tool. I have left .03 on the walls which means I will need to make 3 passes taking .01 each to finish the the wall. Does this sound like a good strategy? I am wondering how many of you are finishing TI with 10fl carbide and how you are doing it.

  4. Thanks everyone, we still have Xmr2 on our computers here. I'll suffer through this job and go back to Xmr2 until they have fixed this problem. Like I said in my first post we jumped from Xmr2 to X2mr1 in one shot so we never even ran X2.
  5. A few days ago we upgraded all of our Mastercam seats from Xmr2 to X2mr1 on X2 the verify quality is poor with the quality turned all the way up and the total and STL tolerance set at .001. I was wondering is anyone else had this problem. I have made screen shots of this but I am not sure how to attach them on this message board. Someone please tell me h0w and I will gladly post them
  6. We got our free AJX facemill today The job I was talking about in now almost done so the boss does not want me to take the time to change the program around. I will find something to use it on soon.
