  1. As the subject line states I am still using X2 and that is not going to change here at work. So, no need to say the new version is better or you know the new tool paths will pay for itself, yada yada yada. They day job isn't going to upgrade and I have to make do with what I have. So, I have had graphics issues with X2 once I moved to Windows 7 and now it's even worse with Windows 10. I am running nice dual monitors and a Quardo 4000 video card. I have tried all the settings I can find in Mastrercam and in windows. What I am hoping is that someone else has to deal with this and figure a way to fix them. Maybe using a driver for a different monitor or maybe a combination of settings I've never tried? When I try to zoom I get a million small rectangles inside of rectangles and I can't see what I'm doing. Some times I will zoom in and get what I wanted but another copy of the part zoomed out over the top of it. You can forget using verify because the screen flashes and you can't make out anything. Any thoughts on how to fix this without having buy software would be very much appreciated. Thanks!
  2. You may have been around but you obviously don't know us. Think what you will but we have a lot of very talented people here and we are as busy as we have ever been turning out a great product at a good price. It's posts just like this that have nothing to do with my question that turn me and so many others away from forums. Ask for ideas and get slammed.
  3. We need to use the terminal in it to enter in a code to connect to the machine you want to communicate with. I'm sure I could find another way to do it but that doesn't solve the issue of the other people in the building still using V9.1 full time. Eventually we will need to replace the other computers and will need to solve it. Sure upgrading would be the best option but I don't have that option. Thanks everyone for your help.
  4. Sorry, I understand it now. Virtual XP mode. I will try that now.
  5. Thanks! Is that running it in XP compatibility mode or running it in the virtual XP mode?
  6. I wish I had the option to upgrade but I don't. So, I'm forced to use what I have.
  7. Sorry, I don't understand your reply. I am not running any compatability mode for X2 SP1. That works perfect and like it was made for it (so far). I tried every compatability mode option for V9.1 without any luck as of yet.
  8. I'm making progress. Thanks everyone for the help. I picked up a Windows 7 64 bit Pro machine and X2 SP1 works great. I didn't do anything but install it. No compatability mode changes or anything. V9.1 is the issue now. It installs and loads but can't find the hasp. I tired newer hasp programs to update it and no luck. Are there newer drivers I should install?
  9. Well, not that exact switch but a slightly different version of it.
  10. I looked into Cimco and because we use this switch to connect to the machines I can't make it work. https://www.wti.com/p-101-afs-16-1-rj45-data-fallback-switch.aspx
  11. Oh, I almost forgot. V9 needs to run as well. We have to use it to communicate with the machines since X+ won't work with our system.
  12. What version are you running? We have SP1. Are you perhaps running MR2 and that's why it works?
  13. I would love to run 64bit but I thought that was impossible. Do you mind if I ask how you made it work?
  14. I know it's not officialy supported but we are still running X2 SP1 and some other software that I currently run in XP. My PC has gone belly up and I need to order a new one. I also need to figure out if the NVIDIA Quadro 2000 D will work in it. Anyone have a clue if this will work or have any tips? I did some searching here but didn't have much luck. Thank you!
  15. I know this is an old post but, has anything changed since 2004? Is there a Computational fluid dynamics add on for Mastercam?
  16. Is there a simple change we can make to a post in V9 to mirror the rotary table? It always rotates the wrong way and we wind up mirroring things when we use it. It's on the right side of the table and I guess you would say it rotates along the X axis. I would guess there is something I'm not finding in a post that is a simple change. Thanks for any help.
  17. I know this is a really old thread but, did anyone ever find a 3d globe model of the earth? Out logo is a globe and I would like to turn up a globe with a small base like a wine glass on the bottom as a stand. I would then load it on a rotary axis and mill the detail all around the globe.
  18. Forgive me. I poked around and I can not find where the files are. I should say where can I gain access to the FTP files? Do I need an FTP program?
  19. I see a little slow point in the work load approaching so, I thought it might be a good time to do a little work on some sample parts for a display case. Has anyone seen a collection of cool looking geometry files to make parts from? Possibly some 3D work and maybe some full 4 axis work? We can do 5 axis wire work as well.
  20. Yep, that's basically it but when I do that to multiple holes or even if I do them one at a time they turn our very different sizes and even different angles.
  21. We have always had this issue with X2 SP1 and I don't know if it's us or a bug. When trying to draw a 100 degree countersink on a solid we use the chamfer option. Solid distance and angle chamfer is the option we use. I enter the distance and the angle. I can do 10 holes and get 4 different size countersinks. Why is that? I just did that on 8 identical holes a few minutes ago and I got wildly different countersink sizes and angles. It seems totally random. Any thoughts? Should we be drawing countersinks for screws or rivets a different way? I resort some times to drawing geometry and doing a remove or something like that.
  22. Just curious. When did Mastercam start supporting multiple core computers?
  23. Is there any way to keep the associativity? For the life of me I can't get this to work in X2. I end up killing one or the other and would rater not lose the associativity.
  24. Here is a post from the past. I too am looking for a way to import RS-274-D Gerber files. Has any new software been found since 2004? I downloaded the Autoview program see above and I am unable to get it to work. It just shows me the ascii text.
  25. Cool! That looks like it might work. I will try it now.
