Hi, That is your Handshake, most Fanuc's can only use Xon/Xoff (software handshake). Set DNC software to (baudrate,7,E,2.) Cabling (sw handshake): 25pin machineside, 9pin PC side. 6+8+20 and 4+5 on 25pin. 1+4+6 and 7+8 on 9pin. 2(25)goes to 2(9). 3(25) goes to 3(9). 7(25) goes to 5(9). DTR/RTS = Hardware handshake, this is #1 when dripfeeding, responce time is close to 0. Cabling (HW handshake): 25pin machineside, 9pin PC side. 6+8+20 on 25pin. 1+4+6 on 9pin. 2(25)goes to 2(9). 3(25) goes to 3(9). 4(25) goes to 8(9). 5(25) goes to 7(9) 7(25) goes to 5(9).
