we usually program in the "z" axis and turn on a 3D rotation but machine 3d isnt working on this machine. I can get it to work in master cam (pecking and thread milling in the "y" axis but code is working in the "z"axis
Working on a horizontal barmill with a Heidenhian controler. Need to prgram some threadmilling on the top of the part with a right angle head and 3d rotation doesnt work. what do change to work in the "Y" axis. Never needed to use this and master cam school was a loooong time ago. Any help would be appreciated
im looking for a tool path to step off a .38 radius with the backside of a staggertooth with 1/8" radius inserts. I need a tool path that will step off with a variable depths for a good finish.
I am using a C-axis drill. I have the tool rotating around the part to verify location. Was just trying to get the part to rotate. No luck with that but was able to get the program finished
I am programming a VTL with live tooling for drilling and can not get the part to rotate to each hole so I cam make sure they are in the correct location. I know its just a click of a button but can not find it, can anyone help?
thanks Serenity,
that is what I did first and that's where the problem started when I rotated the STL to the 2nd side and now it does not show material being removed
I am machining a tube that will have 3 sides. I saved my STL file, rotated it and want use it in 2nd program to make sure I removed all stock, but it does not show the stock being removed. I can use it as a visual reference, but is there any way to use my saved STL in verify and actually see the stock being removed
