I usualy install and use the default menues/tool bar layout supplied by MC. Version X5 it seems my menues/tool bars float around? They will be stacked three high/ I'll move them back to what I think is original and a few days later they are goofy again. Any one know why? I tried to open the restore defaults, but it does not fix it. Oh, and no one uses my computer but me.
Ideas?

Yes thought that was it then split up the elips.
-
How do you draw one? cut an elips in pieces?

Thanks I will keep you posted.

I attaced a picture on this post, it is the thin top lip. I can not use the side of the router bit, I need to use the tool end.

Yes I agree I would use the screen capture all the time.

Thanks for the "snipping tool" works perfect!

I'll try that, I like to use the "Copy image to clipboard function in M/C gives me what I want not the whole screen. I know Ctrl "print screen and Alt Print screen give different images. I have dual monotors so one will give me both monitors on my past.

Nope, tried that. It still past in what ever job I was working on before the current job???????????
I tried Paint, Wordpad no luck. I know it is a micosoft thing but not sure what to do or how to fix it.

Does any one know a source or some one who supplies Probing macros for this control? I contacted Renishaw and Onsrud no go. Onsrud supplies three macros to measure with; Bore/Boss, Edge location, Hole to edge and that is it!
I either have to write my own or would rather purchase them.

I use word to make set-up sheets, and paste imigages from M/C into it. My computer has been upgrades to Win 7 and now when I copy and paste into word I am getting a previous image that was pasted into an older document?????
Any suggestions.

Sorry but what is SW?

I have a solid from a customer that sucks! I created surfaces from the solid, but the holes are on seams. When I try to fill the surfaces where the ejector pins go through the part, I keep getting funky surfaces. How can I machine this part with out having the endmill dive into the holes? I would rather use the solid as a drive surface, not the created surfaces.

Does any one own one of these machines? I have questions.......

Bummer for you, but I did try a Ozone generator on a 250 gallon cell machine some time ago. It helped but the best thing is keeping to coolant clean.

When finish milling a mold using 3d cutter path some times my cutter does not go over the edges and leaves a very small lip. It can be polished out, but what tabs/goemetry or what ever do I need to get my cutter to either cut all the wat to the edge or slightly roll over the edge? I am using a simple parallel tool path, .002 step over and am machining a top face all the way to the edge.

I worked at a shop that would use that type of comp. I tried to get them to convert but no go. They had hundreds of old programs that could not be changed. This stupid method, cost me several parts being scrapped. The machinist on the floor would "defend" this method stating it is the best way to do it, but they too scrapped many parts from entering the wrong comp amounts.
I had to write a Macro and install it into my post so the control could "check" for the proper comp value input into the control. What a stupid thing, I am still frustrated by this......

Well thanks, and this is a requirement from Boeing.

I need to verify if a point is located on a surface. The point and surface is supplied by our customer. When we import the model they want us to verify that any points drawn are normal to the surface it is touching. How do I measure this?

Laser! right! "not in the budget" they always say!
So I make due and improvise.

Thanks, I noticed the M0. Okuma works different than Fanuc. Can you do a mid program handle interrupt? I tried running a regular program and it would not allow this.

No tool presetter, I am going to make a preset post that will use an indicating type of presetter. I want to be able to type a command, have the tool put into the spindle, and go to the preset point. Also it must set G15H0. I wrote a couple of them for Fanucs and Hass, but the Okuma language is different.
Control type OSP-U100M

I have an Okuma mill with a OSP control. I need a macro that I can use for tool length measurement. Are there any Okuma Macro Gurus out there that can help? I can program macros on Fanuc and Hass all day long, but do not have time to learn the "Okuma" way right now.
Let me know
