UNTIL THE UPDATE WE HAVE TO COVERT TO AUTOCAD THEN MACHINE. ANY ONE GOT A BETA COPY OF X2 THEY CAN PASS ALONG LOL. NO YELLING, JUST WARNING.

OUR COMPANY DECIDED TO UPDATE TO SOLID EDGE TO V19 WITHOUT LETTING THE PROGRAMING DEPARTMENT KNOW. WELL NEEDLESS TO SAY I WILL NOT BE MACHINING ANY OF THEIR DRAWINGS IN MASTERCAM TILL X2 COMES WITH THE NEW SOLID EDGE CONVERTOR. WORD TO THE WISE CHECK WITH GUYS BEFORE YOU DO ANY UPDATES. I BELIEVE THE SAME APPLIES FOR SOLID WORKS AND AUTOCAD 2007. CASEY

We found are mistake. Had switch the orgin tab to board by board instead of work off one board. Switched tab nested at X=0 and y=-1244.6 for a 4 by 8 sheet now everyone is happy. If you try to orgin off of y=0 and xtranslate it will not move the toolpath just the parts. I guess that is why they call it a learning curve :~> Casey

We recently purchased the toolpath nester for Mastercam X and it works great for our Komos but doesn't work for our Biesses. For the Biesse it posts all -y cord. in gcode. It doesn't matter where you set the orgin. I know both machines work off opposite corners. Is it the the toolpath nester has a flaw, the software, the post, or the programmer (me)? "Programs for the Komo will need tool names defined to match with the setup on the Biesse control. You may also need to shift files into a position where the datum is top left, top." THAT IS WHY I AM GLAD WE MADE THE SWITCH. IT IS EASY TO REGEN AND MOVE PARTS AND TOOLPATHS ALONG WITH RETOOL. UNFORTUNETLY WE HAVE THOSE CONTROLS. OUR BIESSES ARE OLD! Rover C9 FT IS WHAT ARE GETTING TWO OF. THEY ARE REPLACING 2 KOMO'S. WHAT KIND OF DRILLING PROCESS ARE YOU SETTING UP FOR. ARE CURRENT ROVER 30 AND 336 USE HOLE TABLE. ARE YOU SETTING UP FOR BLOCK DRILLING OR HOLE TABLE DRILLING? SHOULD I BE WORRIED ABOUT THE TRANSITION? WE CURRENTLY PROGRAM OUR ROVERS WITH MASTERCAM, BUT WE WERE TOLD THE POSTS WERE ALREADY READY TO GO FOR THE ROVER C'S. BUT FROM EXPERIENCE I KNOW NOTHING INCLUDING THE MACHINES WILL COME OUT OF THE BOX PERFECT. THE NICE THING IS I HAVE TIME TO START REDOING ALL OF OTHER PROGRAMS DONE IN A CAM PACKAGE CALLED ROUTER CIM THAT CAME WITH THE KOMOS. THE OTHER NICE THING IS I CAN JUST RETOOL WHAT WE HAVE CREATED IN MASTERCAM FOR THE KOMO'S. THANKS FOR YOUR TIME. ALSO LET ME KNOW AFTER YOU TEST THE ROVER C POST.

We are looking for someone who has ran or used a successful Biesse Rover C post for Mastercam X. We are going to need to get our hands on it by January when our knew machinery arrives. So if anyone knows any distributors who have it or are making it please let me know. Casey Hewes
