  1. Well I dont see the problem these days with processors over 5GHz, and the ability to link 4 8 or even 16 cores up on 1 mobo. Computers can rip MasterCAM up. I dont think there is a reason why it wouldnt work now. Its all in your price point, I think alot of people would utilize the feature to some extent.
  2. Awsome Guys I will check thoose other guys out.
  3. Hi guys. So I did it today all over to metric, now I need to find a tooling manufacturer. In the past we have used Garr, Kennametal,Iscar and Robb Jack. I am looking for one who has the best metric selection, aswell as an overall high quality product. I cut A2, H11, P20, CuBe, all mold work basically. HT up to around 52-56 RC sometimes. I would also like to know if anybody is using the Minimaster by Iscar? I have one here but havent used it yet. Are there cost benefits with using one vs. a standard solid carbide Endmill? Any input is appreciated! Thanks Adam
  4. I think it would be good if you could have windowed viewing in mastercam. In other words an ability to view and work on several parts in mastercam at the same time by using windows. Being able to shuffle through. Something like what Autodesk Inventor does, its just a quick menu click to switch to the other part. It would really help in mold making. It would be alot less clutter and it would use less system resources than running multipull instances of mastercam. Just my 2 cents.
  5. Hye I stumbled upon this today. THe creator of amazon.com has secretly been developing a space vehicle for the last while. Hes looking to expand now and wants to hire. Here For Info There is a CNC Programmer position up for grabs. Looks like a really cool place to work. I have no chance haha, but I am sure someone here is looking for a change and is more than qualified. I bet the money is crazy. Just thought I would share that. Adam
  6. Just what the doctor ordered Midwest. I also switch from a flat to Bull endmill. Thanks alot guys.
  7. Hey Guys, Ok I have some 1/4in kennametal KC635M Grade endmills here, and air blast. The bushing walls are .330in thick so that is what I need to remove in x/y in Z I am taking .050in. My questions is what would yo use for the circle mill step, Ive started with .010in, wondering if that is to much. as for F&S I am using 5000rpm and around 30ipm. The tool doesnt seem to handle that well. Got through 5 holes and it started to spark up, looks like the edge is a bit worn. Looking for some guidance. Thanks Adam
  8. Oh man this is going to be a mission thanks for the suggestions. The plate is 48in in diameter with about 75 Bushings that are 1.5in in diameter. Well I guess Ill try it tommorow. Thanks alot guys.
  9. Hey Guys, I have a problem. I have a Plate that fits ontop of my CNC table its bolted down and has threaded holes in it for setup's. I need to Face the top since it varies by around 0.005in. The Plate is made of S7 I think. Now here is the problem The threaded holes are actually threaded bushings with threaded holes inside of them. They are much harder than the S7. Not sure how hard, enough to chip my inserts badly and cause alot of sparking. Needless to say it didnt work out for me. I was running a Kennametal 3.15in 5 insert 45degree facemill at 430rpm and 16ipm. Well atleast untill I hit a bushing Any suggestions would be great! Thanks Adam
  10. Have had no problems with Cadem NCnet http://www.cadem.com/ncnet/ncnet.htm
