  1. Installed the latest driver from NVIDIA, and switched the Anisotrophic Filter to "application controlled" instead of the defaulted "8X" setting. This cleared things up, thanks for letting me know it was a card issue!
  2. Did those 2 things and it is still the same result. It also does this when i create, rectangle, 2points. it doesnt show me the rectangle as i drag my mouse all over the screen... think this may be just a color setting in mastercam? V9.
  3. NVIDIA Quadro FX 4600 - Graphics adapter - Quadro FX 4600 - PCI Express x16 - 768 MB GDDR3 - DVI (RV706AA) ... Windows XP, Just downloaded the latest driver. Still no change.
  4. I got a new work computer and switched over all the config files and everything runs smooth except when i right click and go to zoom window. What happens is that once i click zoom window and do the initial click, there is no visible white rectangle forming when i move my mouse, it will zoom but it seems like the rectangle that forms is transparent..Any ideas?
  5. When i first open mastercam V9, and open the taskmanager, the CPU says that it is running at 100% when its not doing anything. yet when i open up the toolpath operations menu, the CPU usage drops to 0.... this just doesnt make sense. Anyone have an explination?
  6. If you look at the Seco website e-catalog and type in "rotary coolant", Seco-EPB Graflex holders will come up on the search results. I believe they will give you what you need. We have a system from Seco but a month after we got all set up for the job, we purchased a machine with through coolant, never used the tool from seco ever... So i can tell you where to look, but cant tell you how it performs.
  7. I encounter the same problems when dealing with imported surfaces. The way i solve the problem of finding floating entities or deleting them, is to color all the visible surfaces a neutral color (in V9 color88 for example). Then i hide all color 88 and screen fit the remaining surfaces. Depending on the job, i either color the surfaces 88 if they are associated with the part that im working on, or when all color 88 is hidden, delete all entities.
  8. Thanks guys, benchmark thread was a great help.
  9. When working on large pieces of work, sometimes the 3D toolpath generation takes the better part of a half hour. Is this normal? (Example, after a rough pocket, i chase it with a rough restmill, that toolpath takes a long time to generate) or should i look at upgrading my computer or is there a way to speed up this part of the process? What is everyone using these days for a CPU? and what would be ideal?
