  1. Newbie to post editing here. I am currently using mpmaster and X3 to control 2 HAAS mills. I would like to add a g55 G00 X0, Y0 to the final few lines of my posted code. The g55 X0, Y0 position could be set to wherever my machinist wants the mill table to be so he can unload the part. No really sure where to start modifying the post to do this. Any help would be appreciated! thanks
  2. Jim Thanks, i am currently adding code to the end of the program manually. I'd like the post to do it automatically to prevent any errors. I am unsure how to modify the post so it will output the neccesay code.
  3. I would like to edit our mpmaster post to return the table to front and center at the end of the program to make life a little easier for the machinist. Post editing is very new to me and my boss doesn't like me experimenting with his equipment Can i do this with a g28 or g53? thanks
  4. It will work just make sure you have the latest driver for your video card and set the resolution to the native resolution of the panel ie 1680x1050.
  5. Kannon thanks heh Should have searched
  6. I work at a design firm and protototype machine shop. I could be programming parts for outside sources or internally designed parts. We generally receive 3D solids from customers and all of our internal stuff is designed with solidworks. I typically export .igs files from solidworks and program from that with X2. We have mill level 3 wihtout the solids package. Are there any advantages to programming off a solidmodel versus a wireframe/surface (.igs) model? Should i pressure my boss for the solids module for X2? thanks ahead of time for the responces
  7. John I should have clarified better, i meant being able to pick a point inside the pocket such as a hole drilled in an earlier operation.
  8. I'd settle for being able to pick and entry point on a normal pocket toolpath
