  1. All your help files should go in a help folder right below your mastercam program, for example c:mcam9help. I doubt there's any way to change that. If you just re-create that folder and copy all the help files in it (you still have them, right?), you should be fine. --Robert, CNC Tech Docs
  2. "Wow, I didn't know programmers were so athletic." You should see the swimsuit competition... --Robert
  3. Ooops, you got us! That file was there for V8, but wasn't updated for V9, and the reference to it in the help shouldn't be there. I can send you the V8 file if you email me -- I think the biggest enhancement for V9 was we introduced "simplified" high feed machining, mostly for finishing, where you program the machine dynamics but not the chip load -- but the basic concepts should be the same.
  4. Hi, check if you have the latest help file--there should be a topic called "About bias angles" (I wrote it, it better be in there...) Here's what it says: "When Mastercam creates a scallop finish toolpath, it scans the part to generate a "mesh" of points that it uses as the basis for the toolpath. The bias angle refers to the angle at which Mastercam scans the part. (It scans the part in two directions, once at the bias angle and again at a right angle to it.) Consider changing the bias angle if your part features are strongly aligned to the orientation of the mesh. In such cases, changing the bias angle might result in finer resolution around important part features or details." The help topic also has a simple example with picture.
  5. Hi, that help topic has been fixed in SP1. The "Keep" menu displays when Associative=N -- you see this option after selecting "Boolean" from the Solids menu.
  6. Hi, "RMATLS.MT9" is the materials library in the Mcam9RouterTools folder--I'm guessing you have a file in there called "MATLS.MT9"--try just renaming it RMATLS.MT9. (I think this has been fixed for SP1, which will be out shortly.) BTW, I wrote the Router Tutorial--glad you're finding it useful!
