  1. Thanks for all your help. I finally received a e-mail from my Mastercam rep late on Friday. He made me a little tutorial video explaining how it is done. And yes the holes were what was causing me problems, so I filled them in. I played around with it this weekend and I think I've got it now. Thanks again.
  2. I have been playing around some more. Now I get a error: Parasolid® Kernal Interface Error Boolean Error Operation would result in a non-manifold body
  3. Do all the entities not show up for you? Not sure what you mean?
  4. Here's the file. I can't seem to open the file you posted. You might be using a newer version than me I'm more of a machinist than a computer guy. LOL 4132897-02.MCX
  5. I've tried a bunch of things and I keep getting an error: Parasolid® Kernal Interface Error Boolean Error Face imprinting operation failed
  6. How do you do that? Please explain. Thanks
  7. I've got a solid model of a finished part. The customer wants us to make a vacuum mold for that part. It a little dome shaped plastic cover. I need to create the male shape that would go inside that part. Is there a easy way to do that from the existing model? I'm using X2. Thanks.
  8. Ahhhh, I should of thought of that. I kept getting drawn to that engraving tab. Thanks very much.
  9. A lot of times we need to engrave serial numbers on customers parts. How do I do this. I tried using the note function under the drafting tab, created my text, used the break drafting into lines under the trim tab, then went to the engraving option. I does not seem to work. I just need to engrave my stick font on center, 0.002 deep.
  10. I had to go onto a different part, that one was just a rough prototype for the customer it will be good enough. But I will make those changes and report back when I run another one.
  11. Glen, I sent the file using the Zip to Go utility, to your work e-mail. I got a out of office reply.
  12. The 1/2 inch tool is leaving it choppy. This is only part of my program. Other places I rough with the 1/2" and I finish with a 1/4" tool and it leaves it choppy as well
  13. They look choppy on the part. It can't be my tool holder because it does it with different tools.
  14. I'm not cutting a circle. CONCEPT TOOLING- that is what my shape should looks like. The issue is it does not cut nice curves. They are all choppy. The sides look like a disco ball.
  15. Here is the g-code. Does it look right? I don't know much about g-code. N100 G00 G17 G20 G40 G80 G90 N110 G91 G28 Z0.
