I guess you can. This way tho, you can program as usual and use a regular drilling cycles. Makes life a hell of a lot easier!

I know this is an old thread... searching for a solution today on this exact topic and stumble on this thread. solution I found for anyone in the same boat was to change offending parameter. best way is to contact machine manufacture (in my case Hermle USA). Worked like a hot damn. hope it helps.

Any update on this? I'm having similar problems but in mcx for solidworks.

I had that checked but still no luck... and yes I have x5 x6 and solidworks 2011 on my pc.

Did a search but could not find anything on the subject. Currently testing out mcx app in solidworks but cant import toolpath created in solidworks in mastercam (tried x5 and x6) any help or idea would be greatly appreciated. Nick

go to: solids, face/feature colors, than do what you want.I usually just clear all solid face and feature colors (default in green)

I'm having trouble updating old .mcx programs in X5. I open an old file (in this case X3) all is running well. I add new geo and tool paths, simulate and all seems fine. When I go to post it, I only get the original tool paths but not the new added paths. If I post the new paths only it works fine but as soon as I post all of it wont. I tried to update folder but cant get it to work (it did work for my old posts etc..). Hope it's clear, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks it worked, but still a bit strange.

Does any one know why after I run a simulation I can't highlight an entity anymore. It works fine until I run a simulation. To fix, I have to close and re open the file. Makes my life very annoying! It does it on new and old files (X, X2, X3) and other X3 run computers. If I run it on X2 (an other computer) it works fine. Only on X3 run computers.
