  1. Is there a link to the recording of the webinar anywhere? I was registered, but missed it.
  2. Hi, I seem to be having trouble using axis substitution with machine sim. The Axis substitution is correctly simulating with backplot, verify, and Vericut, but doesn't seem to Machine Sim correctly. I'm using the unroll funtion & axis substituting the Y axis around a 4" diameter tube.
  3. nohist.dll was exactly what I was looking for! Thank You Brendan2340!
  4. Let's say I had a solid model with a bunch of extrude cuts, fillets, chamfers- Is there a way to merge them all into 1 solid body? I know I could export a solid as a .Step, or .IGS, then re-load it, and it'll be one solid body with no 'child' operations below it. The reason I'm asking is because sometimes I feel that if the (ie.fixture) design is finished, then I could disassociate all of the construction geometry, and not worry about it 'going dirty' if it's one solid body, with no associated geometry.
  5. I've re-installed everything, and It's all good now. I cannot replicate the issue.
  6. I uninstalled Mcam, then deleted all remaining files (ie. My Mcamx5), reinstalled, and its working now. I'm now going to install MU1, Verisurf, add-ons, and see what happends.
  7. Hi, When I close machine simulation, it returns me to the normal McamX5 GUI, but in a crashed state. The toolbars are missing, The drop down menu's are disabled, and I cannot exit Mastercam. I have to Alt,Ctl, Del out. I've always had to crash out of Mastercam since I started using Machine Simulation. I will reinstall Mcam, with Mcam stock toolbars, and see if that works. Anyone else have this issue?
  8. Hey, Where did the subprogram option go for threadmill routines? If I goto CirclePaths... Thread Mill.... There isn't an option for incremental or absolute subprograms. How do I subroutine a threadmill path?
  9. Pukiwawa, Define your stock in the "Stock Setup" under "Machine Group Properties", then.. Please advise. Thank you.
  10. We are mirroring a 5 axis part with multiple 3+2 toolplanes, and have been having numerous issues with it. We are using the “Mirror Toolpanes” option, because the “mirror coordinate” doesn’t seem to work with 5-axis. The “reverse toolpath” button seems to have some issues. We are seeing swapped G2’s, and G3’s and also cutter comp G41 and G42’s, especially on full circles. I assume these problems have to do with the warning message “Mirroring of tool planes will output views with an inverted Z axis”. I’ve tested this with the generic Mcam 5-axis supplied posts also, and get consistent results. Do you think the inverted Z axis the cause of our issues? Do most posts have problems calculating the toolpath with a plane on a Z inverted axis? Is there a better / easier method for mirroring 5 Axis Toolpaths?
  11. I've just updated to X4, and ran all my posts thru the update post utility. I do see some #cnc errors in the posts now, but I know they are minor. I will be working on fixing them over the next few weeks on the side, but I get a "Errors were detected during posting! Do you want to wiew the messages?" message after posting. Is there anyway to disable this message for now?
  12. When I create a solid, I usually blank or move the associated geometry to a hidden level. therefore, when I Xform, Move, Mirror, Rotate, Etc. I loose the associated geometry’s position on the solid. I would like to see a check box option on the Xform dialog box to “move associated geometry” even if it’s blanked or hidden.
