  1. I looked,no luck, oh well I didn't want to work on a saturday anyway. Thanks guys,
  2. That's even a longer story. It's a laptop with bad problems. I had an extra hard drive and gave it to the repair people. They then proceded to use the old hard drive as a slave and took windows off of it. I really didn't think I would have auy luck getting the codes, but it was worth a try. Cadkey{Keycreator) has the codes on their website and you can get them any time you need them.
  3. Yea but in the interium I upgraded from 8 to 9 (to get 10) and never upgraded my software installation (I just kept working in 8). Now the files I need to deal with are version 9.1 files and I'm screwed because I can't get the update codes from the emails on my dead computer.
  4. I was loading Mastercam on my new computer for an emergency job and I can't find my update code. It's a long story as to why I can't get it off my old computer but I CAN'T! If there is anyone that knows how to get it on a Saturday (no reseller) please let me know. 5. If you haven't fixed it already try updating your Windows 2000 with all the current updates. It seems to have fixed our problems.
  6. Are you working with Vericut on this? What are they telling you? I think that they are holding out until 5.4.1 ships to see if that fixes it.
  7. I have the same problem, what makes it baffeling is that we're using Vericut (and Mastercam) on 2 different machines with the same software, both on network licenses. One works fine and the other crashes. I'm working the problem with Vericut as we speak, if I find out anything I'll let you know.
  8. I would like each tool to work on both parts. Thanks for all the replies guys it really looks like I need to copy the geo and go from there
  9. Here the thing, what I'm trying to do is take one part in the top half of a chick vise, rotate it 180 and put it in the bottom half of the vise and machine two parts at one time, I can't just move it down to the bottom half because of clearance issues. I'm not trying to move it to a different face of the tomb. It needs to be machined at 0.0,90.0,270,35 and -35 deg rotations. Hope this helps clear things up.
  10. The toolplane is a copy of top named G54.1 P1 with a work offset of 1 (P1)
  11. Yes, the geometry is in the same view. We always try to machine in the top view for B 0.0
  12. I think the problem lies in that I,m actually doing a double rotation (rotating around Z for the transform and then around Y on the machine) I don't know if Mastercam will do this. The tech guys have looked at it but I don't think they understood what I was trying to do because true they got rid of the errors but the numbers are still wrong.
  13. Hi there, I seem to be having a great deal of problems with trying to rotate operations for a horizontal part about the top view (Z world) 1 step 180 deg. First of all it didn't want to post saying only single axis movement was allowed. I then switched to rotate around origin instead of a point and at least then it would post but the numbers I'm getting aren't right at rotation. Mastercam seems to do OK until I hit a rotation and then I start getting minus Z values for clears and bad signs for either X or Y. Any suggesstions would be great.
  14. Hi Guys, I'm a contract programmer in the Seattle area. Been using Mastercam for about eight months now and am doing mostly aerospace work.
  15. I can answer a couple of your questions. There is an interface in 5.2 and it supposedly works quite well but I dont know if it's pointed directly at V9 or not. I don't think it would matter as mostly what it does is bring Mastercam info into Vericut for processing(Unless Mastercam changed something drastic in V9). There is a mastercam interface in 5.1 but it's the same interface they've had forever and I wouldn't even bother with it. For more info you could try [email protected]
