  1. yep, funny, when you get use to something, any way, I always used that for a quick check.
  2. the WCS will always show as named, the tool plane will take on the view name
  3. yes , but will not show as GOOFY in your operation as a tool plane
  4. one more time, lets say I named my tool plane GOOFY, instead of top or front, GOOFY will not be displayed.
  5. sorry, should have been more specific, the operation you choose whether it is mill or drill will have to the right your WCS display, with 2017 your named t plane is displayed exactly the way it is in the planes manager 2018 it is not.
  6. Is there a hidden switch somewhere to display the t plane that I designated [ named ]. Other than the WCS the t plane is either undefined, right front, Etc. Etc.
  7. why fix something that is not broken.
  8. and don't even bring up dynamic optirough, that is a joke.
  9. suck ! Remember when we actually had options that didn’t always start in the middle of your work piece. Remember when we had [ core rough] [ area clearance] where you could actually start outside the box. Remember when.
  10. Yea ,this post has been out here for almost 2 months, I know this isn't vary exciting but I could use the help, I work with the blind and deaf, and would like to post out the General tool description field, all four of them, don't need the pilot diameter. you see for the blind we can print in brail the tool list in detail, and for deaf we have Jaws that will read out the tool list in detail, so to keep the typing to a minimum for me this would be really helpful if I could post this out with the tool description, thanks in advance.
  11. Want to post out the Description and tool code fields with the name.
  12. Got it, after taking a closer look at the install path I found the default folders, and I might say what a odd place, 5 folders deep in a folder called Ops , were the other versions of X just to simple to have everything in one place, I meen really, I had to hunt for everything ! ! ! and I am still getting a INSERT. TLB error every time I open

  17. Wow, I don’t post much but every now and then I run into a little glitch and this is were I go. But I do have to say coming from the shop floor as a base I use Top Top for A zero and B zero if you notice MC rotates views like a drawing so logically how could Front be B 90 Front is A 90 just as A axis would rotates around your X axis. Now if you wanted your B axis to rotate you would rotate around Y to create a tool plane B 90 or B-90 but then again I am just an old machinist stuck in programming.
  18. The out put almost looks like the wrong tool plane was selected but you would see that in Mastercam, but to answer the question, no I have haven’t
