I've figured out toolpathing in X pretty well so far...however, when I post, I am getting some weird stuff (see below). How do I stop it from putting the G50 line, Tool line, etc. between every move?

Looks like I need to update my signature too.
We recently purchased a Sharnoa mill with the Tiger 6 control. Since every other machine we have has a Fanuc control, I don't know the first thing about a Tiger. Is there a post on the Mastercam 9.1 CD or is this something I should contact my reseller about? Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks.
We are looking at buying a new vertical lathe. One of the two we are considering has a Fanuc O-T controller and the other has a Fanuc 18T controller. I was wondering if anyone had any input on plusses and minuses of these two controllers or where I might be able to find a good comparison. We use Mastercam for 95% of lathe programming so a lot of features will go unused anyway. Thanks for any help.
This is not a very big issue, but it is a little annoying. When I am in 3-D CPlane and I go to a Top view, the icon(letter) in the CPlane box on the left hand side of the screen changes to a T representing Top view even though it is still in 3-D CPlane. Anyone else notice this?
We were at the show on the 6th and 7th. Really enjoyed Chicago. We got to stay downtown for the first time this year. Got a call today from EDS Unigraphics asking if I had a chance to review the CD they gave me. I told them that we were happy with Mastercam but they could send some more golf balls if there were any left! I don't expect to get any. Anyway, Mastercam had a nice booth as usual. Really like the cloth bags!
I just received Version 9 today! Yeah! But I guess the economy must be pretty bad because I got Version 8 mousepads with it. I guess there wasn't enough R&D money to design new ones. Guess I'll just have to wait until V10!
Thanks for all the input. I had to dig a bit but I found our book for that machine. It was a little dusty but I managed to find the parameter that I was looking for.
This is not exactly a Mastercam question but I thought someone might be able to help. We have 2 LeBlond Makino VMC's with Fanuc O-M controllers. They both are set to decelerate in internal corners. I know this is a parameter that can be turned off but don't know which one. Anyone with any help?
I am working on programming a NPT threaded hole. Is there a c-hook or macro available for this type of operation? Or would it be easier to draw the helix and then toolpath it? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the input. I do have all the latest patches. The idea of the collapse makes sense. That is exactly what my toolpath looks like...a 3-d collapse running from the inside out.

Does anyone have any problems with Surface-Finish-Scallop? I'm not really having a problem but I was wondering why my toolpath keeps starting in the middle of the part. It is a round part and I told it to go counter-clockwise, Inside to Outside, and even specified the start point as the origin (the center of the part). Yet the toolpath started at some arbitrary point in the middle of the part surfaces and was very erratic jumping around to different areas on the part. It did not crash and the part looks fine but it causes a lot of confusion with the operators because they have no idea what it is going to do. Am a missing an option?
Also, why does it take so long to write these programs? 3+ hours...

Is there any way to specify irregular stock on a surface rough toolpath? For instance, I have some parts that are turned in a lathe before I get them. I have used depth limits but that makes the cuts on top of the part very deep. Any suggestions would be helpful.

I have also experienced this problem. Iam running NT4 with service pack 6 as well. It seems to be random. My computer still shows the folders in the save window like normal but the path at the top only shows D:.
I work in a job shop in Henderson, KY. I have been using Mastercam for about four years now. I look forward to using this forum as an aid in my programming.
