  1. Sorry about that.

What i want to do is draw in either solids or surfaces. I need to draw a box that is 6.35mm square. and have the top of the box have a 5mm rad on it. Then trim them together so the rad is still a sphere shape with no flats on it.

  2. Does anyone know why I get empty lines between the lines of code when I save a program from the machine onto my card?

I would like to get rid of the empty lines to make it easier to check when I go to use the program again...

    Using Mastercam X

    Machine is a Matsuura MAM700HG 4th axis confused.gif

  3. Does anyone use the 203 Turbo system with their machines. We bought 2 new Turbo systems for our new machines. We machine gray cast iron. These machines run 24 hours a day. The bottom of the coolant tank fills up with little particles that pass through the filter and settle on the bottom. Each month we have to drain the coolant tank to clean it. Does anyone know of a better way to clean the tanks banghead.gif

  4. Does anyone know how to get rid of Duplicate entities? I am pretty sure i have used it before at one of my other jobs. The only thing is i keep using different versions of the software.Right now im using Mastercam X.

  5. Heres the thing i have never done this before.I seem to be having trouble with sharp corner when i try and loft the surface.I know if i could send this file to someone they could explain to me how to do it. I just have been out of this software for too long i guess.

  6. I have to say thanks to everyone giving me advice. What i have is actually the tool path that the cutter took when running over the part.I just didnt know if there was a way to cover the tool path with a surface with little effort or if i had to sit down and draw each surface. Its been along time since i have used this software.Jim i kind of get what you are saying but im not that advanced in this software. Is there anyway i could email you what i have, you could look at it and tell me if it can be done.

  7. Ok this ones for Ernie,or anyone else who might be able to help.

My boss bought a cnc machine with a digitizer on it.He says we should be able to create a surface from the geometry we get from the machine..Any clue on how this is done??????????

Can i just use mastercam and turn the lines into surfaces or is there another software i have to use to create the surfaces. I dont know anything on this subject and cant seem to find any help on the subject, except when someone said i should be talking to u..

  8. So what your saying is, if i digitize a die piece using the cnc machine i cant turn that to surfaces using mastercam? I have to get the company to buy more software?

  9. Someone has to know how to do this.....

How to make surfaces from something that has been digitized.

What im getting on file is a part of a die that has been digitized on a cnc mill. What i need to do with it is cover it with surfaces. Is there a quick and easy way of doing this.
