  1. Thanks, we have been creating the tools as we go I am just looking for something a little faster.
  2. We use mostly Mitsubishi lathe tool holders and are looking for a library for Mastercam version 9. If anyone has any info it would be helpful. Mike Judd President Summit Machine, Inc.
  3. Ok we got it, its under the c-hook of engrave. In there it has a eps converter. Thanks for all the help.
  4. The files it supports are: .bmp, .gif, .jpg-.jpeg, .pcd, .pcx, .tif-.tiff That's all it lists when we open up ras2vec using alt-c.
  5. That solves one problem, it is all splines. Our version does not have eps file conversion that we are aware of. We are using MC version 8 and in December purchased the Ras2Vec add in. It only runs as a c-hook I believe, not totally sure. We have to press alt-C to access it.
  6. I just tried that and it's still not there. We always have had problems with .dxf files. If my customer opens it into Solidworks it is there, but when we try in MC it's not. I get three lines that are there but not the text or logo.
  7. We are trying to convert an illustrator file to Mastercam V8. We have tried to save it as a .DXF file but when converted into Mastercam nothing is there. We have Ras2Vec also, but for the size we need to engrave it needs way to much clean up to make the lines not look like Flintstones writing. Any help would be much appreciated. Mike Judd Summit Machine, Inc.
  8. Hello my name is Mike, I own Summit Machine, Inc. in Salt Lake City, Ut. We are a job shop. I have been involved in machining since 1993, and have been using mastercam the entire time. I probably only know enough to be effective, seems theres alot I would still like to know. We use level 1 mill and lathe to do most everything at the shop. I have been a member of this forum for awhile but I think I've only ever posted one or two messages. I hope to change this now that the DSL line is up and running.
  9. Hello, I own a job shop in Salt Lake City. I recently purchased V8. I'm looking for a post for my Mori Seiki SL1-A Lathe. It has a Yasnac LX1 control. It is backwards were X- is increasing the diameter. My retailer had one close but it is requiring a lot of editing. Any help is appreciated. Mike
