Thanks for the help. I realise I might have thrown a curve when I added the phrase "High Speed" but I believe James hit the nail on the head. ("Relative to the Material") Thanks again

Anyone have machining parameters for high speed machining of Inconel 718? Currently using TiAlN coated 1/2" ball endmills on a CNC machining center.

currently have 5 mori's at different levels, one being full blown 2-spindle 2-turret and I have to say they are great. The only negative is the controls upgrade so often that all 5 have different controls and they are all less than 5yrs old.

I have ran into this same problem when using a chain to define a stock boundary. Usually the chain has a radius on one or both od corners. Although it analyses fine it gives me the same error message. I simply trim the arcs to the connecting lines a it fixes the problem.
