  1. I have do not have a value in my retract,I have keep tool down checked in the roughing/finishing parameters tab

I’ve got a dozen counterbored pockets in a bolt circle pattern, They are 3” below my “Z,0” reference plane, I’m doing a pocket tool path Here’s my parameters (depths) Depth Z-3.000 Top of stock Z-2.9 Feed plane Z-2.85 Clearance plane Z .25 with the ( use clearance only at the start and end of operation) box checked My tool keeps jumping up to the positive Z.250 plane, it wont stay down, it works fine in a drilling routine but I cant get it to work in pocket routine, I’m sure I’ve done it before, any help would be appreciated thanks

  4. My observation was any machine that I configured on HP's website was a minimum of $300.00 or less for the same laptop on Dell’s site, I remember 10 to 15 years ago when Gateway was at were Dell is now, and they got to big for there britches and look what happened to them!

I'm looking to by a new laptop for myself,when I search this forum everybody seems to be pro Dell when I go to there websites and build my computer for the same machine the Dell is $300.00 more and one thing I must have is a number pad which comes on allot of the HP's but not the Dell's Why is Dell the preferred machine for Mastercam?
  6. I believe its a cutter compensation issue, set your cutter comp to wear and you can use any lead in/lead out you want, if you have to set it to control, your lead in lead out line or arc must be greater than the cutter radius ot the machine will fault out!

Thanks for the help guys, I have to leave both boxes unchecked to get it to stop, also I went back to X2 MR1 to see what I had enabled there and it was clean up on tool change and it works fine, must be a problem in MR2! I like using that feature for multiple toolpathes, other wise the previous toolpath interfere's with the next and makes it very confusing to see what I cut and what I didnt.

I went to the device manager to see what I had for a card on the display adapters tab it said Intel 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset Family must have onboard video? also I went to the Backplot options clean up screen and Tool Change is checked operation change is unchecked not sure what is supposed to be enabled or disabled here

I was wondering if anybody was having a problem with backplot on X2 MR2, when the slider makes the transition from one tool to another my display area goes black for second so if I am doing alot of spotting and drilling and tapping or any short duration toolpath the display area just flickers, I went into X2 MR1 and MC9 and there working fine,it only happen in MR2 any help would be appreciated Win XP Pro Sp2 3GHz P4 2gig ram X2 MR2,Mill Level 2, Lathe,Solids
