At first I thought it could be due to the new HP Laptop or firewall in the Norton 360 that I'm using.

disable the firewall does not help

example :

M98 P1000 L10

which mean sub call program o1000 10 times. Some user use this to control the depth of cut in the subprogram (instead of having to output the "M98 P1000" 10 time in the nc program)

It is really a good tools on this setup sheet. I started testing this morning and figure out that that we can actually change the number of decimal and the date format (mm/dd/yy to dd/mmm/yyy or any preference)) at the Windows, Control Panel, Regional setting.

Yes, Mastercam can do that. EIA are just G & M code in Mazak machine. Not much different from a Fanuc control.

We have two customer using this Dyna 2400C machine. I don't think Cimco Edit can link to this machine. The machine have a limited memory. It only can read upto 900 blocks. The machine is linked to a PC with a DOS communication software that will break the program to smaller file if the file is more than 900 block. And from there it will send those files continuely to the machine. I can't remember what is the software name, it came together with the machine. Hope this is helpful to you.

I personally do not like the Auto Updates feature. The latest patches might not be the best. Especialy when we are talking about CAD/CAM system. Mastercam.

Yes, I had tried that before. I had also try to lower the receive and transfer buffer to the extreme low. But, with no help. The strange thing is that. I and the Engineer from Makino had used our Dell Laptop to test the DNC. And both work. It don't seem to work for others PCs even though all the setting are the same. The Makino Engineer had give up trying. Fanuc do not want to test the port with a PC. They only provide testing on thier reader.

At the Toolpath, Drill, Options, Click one more time on the sort method that was ativated. This will turn the sorting "OFF".

Well it really doesn't matter to me whether it is know as reseller or member. We are a member in this forum. I notice there that there are many helpful and experience member here. But, as what I had memtion to Dave. This forum is meant for licensed users only. And I know that there are quite a number of unlicensed user in this forum. If you were to look carefully on their posted question. You will know what I'm trying to say.

It will be nice to see all member to include their country of origin ( you should be proud of your own country). This will also help the reseller to take note of what their user are facing. And at the same time to improve their service if necessary.
