Some user use this to control the depth of cut in the subprogram (instead of having to output the "M98 P1000" 10 time in the nc program)

Yes, Mastercam can do that. EIA are just G & M code in Mazak machine. Not much different from a Fanuc control.

Hello, We have two customer using this Dyna 2400C machine. I don't think Cimco Edit can link to this machine. The machine have a limited memory. It only can read upto 900 blocks. The machine is linked to a PC with a DOS communication software that will break the program to smaller file if the file is more than 900 block. And from there it will send those files continuely to the machine. I can't remember what is the software name, it came together with the machine. Hope this is helpful to you.

I personally do not like the Auto Updates feature. The latest patches might not be the best. Especialy when we are talking about CAD/CAM system. Mastercam. Thanks guys for your advice

Yes, I had tried that before. I had also try to lower the receive and transfer buffer to the extreme low. But, with no help. The strange thing is that. I and the Engineer from Makino had used our Dell Laptop to test the DNC. And both work. It don't seem to work for others PCs even though all the setting are the same. The Makino Engineer had give up trying. Fanuc do not want to test the port with a PC. They only provide testing on thier reader.
