I tried a cpl times.. Now either the same one shows up or the one that says this file cannot be read because it is from an earlier version of MX..
I just found out that an update for windows was installed tday. . Has the latest one for windows caused anyone else problems.

As of ten minutes ago every file I open has a error box saying the parameter is incorrect. And the only thing in the file is the part all ops are GONE..

Just throwing this in here, If you verify is good than perhaps you are getting a dogleg somehwere that is cutting off your pins. This has happened to me more than once. Try changing your retracts a bit and see what happens.

Its hard to say- is the tip angle the same for both drills? also carbide tends to be a bit more brittle and chip or break easier than hss.. there has been allot of good things said about Guhring drills on the forum and I can vouch they are very reliable. Do a search for Guhring and check out some of the things these people are doing with them.. hth.....

JP, the only import under file is import directory..

Here is the story I used the import directory .
Import from files of type = Mastercam X files {*.MCX}
From this directory = c:mcamx-x2milltools. (i renamed this file when installing X3..)
To this directory = c:mxamxmilltool.
Now when I open the tool manager and select my libraries the ones I want are not in there..

Thanks people. I have moved files to my HD and then try to open and have the same problem so I dont think its a network issue. And my hasp is local on this machine. I will try what Gcode mentioned and see what happens. If not I will resort to a format as CNC apps guy stated.. .Thanks to all for the help
