  1. I talked to CParish and apperently we were both talking about two different things. So all you guys out there who think I'm a Chris hater I'm not, I love him. He is looking into the issue, he's on it.
  2. I really like Mastercam just looking to fine tune it. Shawn hope you like your new setup guy.
  3. Ok so it seems I'm not the only one who can't get it to work properly. Like I said earlier I refuse to lie to it, to get it to do what it should. This should be submitted to QC. Feel free to submit it to QC. I will too. Shawn you've got it right, why are we the only who seem to care?
  4. So John, Does it rapid to your set (absolute) feed plane or is it ignoring it and using your retract value?
  5. Moldmaker74, I would be so willing to eat more than just my words if this problem would just get solved. This is not operator error. So if anyone knows of a patch or some kind of fix for this please let me know.
  6. If you were to add depth of cuts that wouldn't work because your telling it that you only have .001 stock thickness. I shouldn't have to tell it I'm doing something that I'm not to accomplish a given task. I want an absolute retract of .25 and an absolute feed plane of Z-1.25 also an absolute depth of Z-1.25 With .25 rapid step downs. The point is, is that V9 works like it's suppose to, even the version X demo works like it's suppose to, but not the X2 MR2 that we payed good money for. Is there a glitch maybe? I feel like I'm getting the run around from our reseller.
  7. The your settings for your sample program must have been something like this. Retract .25 Feed plane -1.249 Top of stock *** Z depth -1.25 If thats the case then yes thats exactly what I'm trying to do, however my feed plane is being ignored and it wants to feed from my set retract point. But when I'm useing contour it works like it's suppose to. HELP!
  8. G1 Z-.5 <---- What Im getting Z-.5 <---- What I want
  9. I'm not using a clearance just retract.
  10. I'm using X2 MR2 mill level 1 with the MPMASTER post which I updated with X2. I've just recently switched from V9 and I've been using mastercam for about ten years. The problem I'm having is that whenever I try to use any circle toolpaths it ignores my set feed plane and instead uses the retract plane. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a fix?
  11. ya me too BigRed I've tried most of those brands and they just don't cut like a ARF series dataflute.
  12. I like the sound of those numbers I'll have to check those out. Thanks.
  13. I programmed my Haas at 400ipm and it was perfect. Of course it never really got up to that speed. But it was only good when the high speed look ahead was enabled. htm01 - make sure yours is enabled, parameter #315.
  14. Ouch you were a victim of the 104d eh? I heard alot about those things. What these people don't realize is that something like that could put a small shop right out of business, I know in our case we lost a couple good customers mainly because it was just one thing after another. How long can you keep making excuses, ya know?
  15. mold100, Yes I do use the AICC. I have too or I wouldn't be able to hold any tolerances. I set the Haas and the Fadal up with the same program and tooling. I ran them both side by side, in order to maintain accuracy I had to slow the Fadal way down. The cycle times where as follows. Fadal 25min. Haas 10min. And this is a toolroom mill. Thats sad. But in Fadal's defense I think we got a lemon. They've acknowledged it and they're replacing it with a new one. But non the less it will be our last Fadal, ever.
  16. Our Haas toolroom mill makes Our 4020 Fadal look stupid. If that tells you anything. Our Doosan trumps them both. I agree with Rick step up to Doosan. I think you'll find the prices to be pretty close.
  17. Hit the current commands key, while in memory, and page down twice.
  18. Check out the SGS Z-Carb website, if you're looking for solid carbide they're a good way to go. They will show you speeds and feeds, there's also some cool videos to watch. Or if you have insert drills and TSC you could plunge those pockets right out.
  19. I run a Haas toolroom mill and thats about as weak a spindle as you're going to find in the Haas lineup. And even I can tap a 1/2-13 hole in aluminum with it, however thats as big as it will take. 3/8 in steel.
  20. I own a Fadal and a Haas we use the Fadal as a roughing machine cause thats about all its good for. Fyi its only 2 years old. -Mike
  21. Try using a Titex drill with tfl coating. they work great. Or you could go carbide in which I'd suggest an SGS hipercarb.
