  1. Go into the Fanuc side (big "F" key on the floating button). The hit the OFS/SET key, scroll till Tool offsets , press "OPRT" soft key, then "punch". besure to have your external card connected.
  2. Go to "Makino Data Center" then "Machine" then "Data" and copy the "Tool Offset Data" file. This is where the work offsets are located too.
  3. Here's a pic of what I'm trying to do. The red is each pass and the green is the final dim. I'm machinig a casting and don't want to havr to take 10 depths of cut and then 10 multipasses. I'm grinding this on a Makino A61 converted to grinding. I'll play with the Tapered Walls setting.
  4. Hey guys, I need to do a contour toolpath but I need to step down in Z .01 and over in X .01 on each pass. What toolpath will do this for me?
  5. I have to thread mill a 3/4-16 STI hole in Stellite 31. Any thoughts on tooling, speeds and feeds and depth of cut? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  6. I have confirmed that all part files are in the same folder as the assembly file.
  7. I have to get engineering to save assembies as part files, then I don't have a problem. It's just an extra step and extra files.
  8. I was hoping this issue would have been resolved in X5, but alas it is not.
  9. I beg to differ. I have yet to be able to open SW assembly files. I have no problem opening part files but I get the "no parasolid data" error with assembly files. My reseller tried to help me with this with no luck, he contacted CNC Software but never got a definite answer. I sent my reseller an assembly file and he opened it on all his machines except the one that didn't have SW on it. I have come to believe that it's because I don't have SW installed on my machine.
  10. It sounds like he needs the feed outputting in pitch instead of ipm. Years ago I had a machine that need the feed in pitch, I had to get the post customized and I'm not sure what they did.
  11. Thanks for the input, I might have engineering talk into burning the threads in on our sinker.
  12. Hi all, I have a project coming up where I have to tap a 3/4-16 Heli-Coil thread into Stellite 31. I'm thinking I need to thread mill this. Any thoughts on tooling and speeds and feeds would be greatly appreciated, Thanks
  13. If there is an M30 at the end of the program try replacing it with an M99.
