  1. we use a run program with variables to customize the feeds and speeds to a particular machine and just post out the line of code only.
  2. My biggest mistake is not paying attention to this forum enough. I learn from my mistakes and now I am reading and asking.
  3. Marting I tried that and it worked but i liked the way the report file came out. Is there a way to add the speeds feeds and length of cut to the report file?
  4. thanks for all the info. that makes sense.
  5. HI Robert, My question is how do you get X+ to work for a custom set up that was created instead of the generic one it comes with? I do not know how to map/route/direct it to search for the correct excel and input the info into the proper cells on the excel spreadsheet that we have created instead of the generic one that was provided.
  6. yes I have tries that and it works but I would like to have it set up when I initially open up mastercam I chose the machine type and said machine def not found loaded default defs.
  7. I just loaded X2-MR2 onto my computer. In mastercam X i put my tools machines and op libraries on the server instead of the hard drive so that multiple users can map their control def. all from the same place. When i tried to select a certain machine it gives an error saying control def not found loading defaults. I loaded and mapped it in the config file the same way i did in X but it seems not to be reading the machine def. any help appreciated
  8. any thoughts either way on how well the engraving software works in mastercam? We currently donot have the license for that option but would like to know if its worth purchasing. thanks.
  9. I agree with the choice of rigo fix tooling. very accurate balanced and rigid. My question to you would be if you are you tooling in the smaller diameter range such as micro tooling wouldn't you rather have a machine with a higher rpm spindle?
