G-code,
Perhaps I am missing something here, say I create a part in the front view in SW, but when I bring it into MC the part needs to be on B90 face. Is there a way to import the part from SW and have it be the correct orientation?

ExpressMan,
We already have a few space pilots working here but they are not making things any easier to program! lol

"learn how to use SolidWorks Coordinate Systems
you can control a parasolids land in Mastercam with them.. no more translating parts in Mastercam.. they land the way you want them to"
I know how to create a part on different planes in Solidworks, the main issue is most of my parts run on a horizontal and I need to move the part to an open face. In addition, these parts do not always run on the same machine of face, so I will move the solid around for verification purposes. Other than that, I don't need a Solids key, MC seems to crash more when I use solid surfaces and features.

The benefit for our company is being able to manipulate the solid in MC. All of our solids are made in SW, we are not using MC to create them, but only 1 out of 5 seats has solids so I either put the solid on a different layer or use the computer with the solids key to move the part.

We are using Kaiser 40 taper right angle heads to mill 304 on a vertical mill w/ rotary table, has worked well for many years.

Yeah the NH4000 is a quality built machine, we also have a NH5000 with a small pallet train and 5 SH-63's, these machine take a beating and still keep running

We took a MPMaster post and modified it for our NH4000, didn't take much work, matter of fact we built all of our posts from MPMaster.

Our system is similar to what SLJ states, we post a source, verify in the machine, then the tape file on the server is moved to a qualified folder. We try to avoid having people make changes at the machine, if there is an issue to be fixed we do it on the spot then re-post and re-load the tape file.
The majority of people on the shop floor do not have access to source files and can only send tape files to the machine, they cannot be edited on the server. The system is not perfect but has some sense of organization.

Yeah we don't let just anybody mess with the machine parameters, lucking not everyone here knows how to go in, unlock, and reload them, that would be a huge disaster

Yeah I know what you mean, we had the same deal here, we have 50+ machines and it could be a potential safety hazard so they got re-connected.

This card will rip thru verifications in terms of speed, haven't had any problems. I'm not sure if this system is running 32 or 64 bit, maybe it is a driver issue?

Most of the crashes I have had lately are from re-genning solid surface machining ops. otherwise it runs fairly stable
