Windows 7 Business and Windows 7 Ultimate can run a Virtual Windows XP computer. Tho this solution will not work for us. Virtual Windows XP works decently tho it has network issues and driver issues that make some software hard to use, but it takes up a lot of resources that I dont have to spare all the time.

You can download the files from microsofts website. Its great for an ocaisonal use, but my GM has at least one MC open at almost ALL times.

Ok, so I cant get the Hasp drivers to work for 9 in Windows 7 x64.

Any advice?

Some of the GE3 files cnat open in V9. Will V9 run in windows 7 x64? The other problem is my GM used V6.13 when he was a programmer and I can't get him to take the time to learn X3! But V9 is pretty much the same as V6.13 right?

So, I know you guys probably dont use V6, but we still have and receive some V6.13 files. I was able to get it functioning on Vista X64 but on Windows 7 when I try to open a file it just closes!

Any thoughts...?

So here is the story, I keep all my operations and tools on a server and point all my users to the drive. Everyone has it mapped as their M drive. I recently moved all my operations and tools, ect to a new server. Everyone still has it mapped as the same M drive but now when you try to open a file the load time is as long as 75 90 seconds or more. Sometimes saves are slow too but mostly its the loading.

Any thoughts as to why this would be? I thought maybe mastercam was looking for the old server, but everything in Mastercam points to "M" so I am lost.

Design LT does not open X3 files tho... Unless there is a new version of it I am unaware of..??

I need a file viewer for X3 files and was told the demo would work and could be found on our X3 disc set but this is not the case...

So two weird problem I am noticing with X3 MU1. When I drag rotate parts, (sometimes) it tweaks the geometry causing it to not chain. And with XForm Translate when I set it to "Move" it is moving the psrts but copy a few random lines. I checked and its not dupliucates so I am not sure what is causing these issues.. Anyone else noticed it?

power keys seem to mess up my regular key functions such as (M) for move and (T) for translate so I find myself never using them..

I know... I just want to compare my new machine...

I like the Inteli point drivers because I use the buttons on my mouse for (enter) and such. But either way this mouse wont work. The problem seems to not be limited to Mastercam from what Im reading online..

LOL, anyone had any luck finding recievers for the logitech MV revo? Their site always says out of stock... I NEED ONE!

Even if I uninstall the drivers it still doesnt work. Its driving me crazy. I wish I could get a reciever for my logitech..

i had my mx revolution working in all mastercams. It worked great. I havent touched a vx nano tho...

All I have are two different Microsoft mice, they both do it. I broke my receiver for my revolution MX... I miss that mouse..

Hey- No matter if I scroll forward or backwards mastercam zooms out. I tried removing intelipoint and using the default windows driver and still it didnt work.. Any thoughts?

I wont be using x64 even tho I would love to, as we still use some 8 or 16 bit (whichever)and x64 wont run it. I hear Vista and X3 work great. I more concerned about how functional 6.13a and V9.1 sp2 will be..

So nothing on Vista VS. XP?

Unfortunately when I get my new system I wont be able to benchmark it as we lack the features required to run that file...

Im sure it will be good tho considering that is supposed to be like the best CPU on the market..

Well I just ordered the best core i7 chip. I am quite interested to see how it handels mastercam.

Are there any major reasons to avoid Windows Vista and any of the mastercams in my signature? We rarely use anything other than X3 I just need the ohters to be functional...

Yeah, Ive read a lot of reviews. I was wondering how everyone thought it would work for MasterCam. Has anyone used a core i7 for mastercam yet?
