  8. if it is a carbide drill with thru coolant, i would NOT peck it at all. if you catch a chip on your return your buying a new drill. like goldorak said make sure your drill is dead streight.

  12. you can edit the tool and it will always turn the coolant on for you.
  13. also make sure tool set up is correct. had same problem 2 wks ago.
  14. yes custom ground tools. looks like the mistake was in the program in the lead section. was supposed to be 9 tpi but gave me 10, although i had 9 typed in. thanks for taking a look.
  15. hello' having a problem with programming buttress threads, never programmed them before. here is the problem, the customer says the thread gauge goes but the mating part wont go. i am working with the female end of the part. here is the code and i will thank you in advance N6 ( TOOL - 6 OFFSET - 6 ) (ID THREAD - MIN.   16. i found some tiny chamfer geo that was jamming me up!. but thanx for the help
  17. yea! i do the same thing. but this time nothing works!!! even dynamic x form does the same thing it will, however allow me to rotate 90 180 or 270 degrees but anything in between, just wont work. the part i'm working on is a dash number part, we make families of the same shape different features. i can do it no problem in a different file. really weird. thanx
  18. i'm trying to rotate a part 68.34 degrees. just a standard rotation i use this every day without any problems. but today it says the range is too large. any ideas what this is? like i said this is a function i use all the time, never seen this before.
  19. i'm trying to use a canned cycle for the first time. It's a lathe program, there are a few choices in the canned text options. Any advise on witch option is gonna work the best? The machine will be an okuma crown. Thanx in advance....
