  1. Can someone explain to me how home position and connection cylinder works? I constantly have to adjust the entry motion by plugging in random numbers in the Through xyz in the connection cylinder until I have a straight line motion entering the port. It is very time consuming to for me to mess around with it as it seems like it is not basing the XYZ info off of the WCS for the toolpath. Even when I create a point or line to reference off of it does nothing useful. Here are some screen shots of what I am working on and how the tool wants to act upon entry/exit. This paticular toolpath is cutting the entire runner from only one side, I typically break up the toolpaths for ports into one for flange (bottom) side and one for the bowl (top).
  2. I must be blind today as I keep looking over the save buttons, thanks.
  3. Thank you! Do you know the name of the file it saves the parameters to? It would make it easier to make the changes to all of the other computers by replacing their file the updated one?
  4. Whenever I use face mill, pocket, helix bore, etc for the first time after starting mastercam X7, the stock to leave on floors/walls always defaults to on and leave 0.05. This is driving me nuts, in previous versions of mastercam it was never set as a default, so I am constantly forgetting about it and have to figure out why a toolpath is not cutting correctly. Is there a way to change this?
  5. Is there a way to reset the verify settings. My verify has defaulted to max precision and a couple of the stop conditions are always checked when I first start mastercam.
  6. So I have run into the same issue op had. I have had this happen to me in the past, with other mastercam versions, it would be one or two toolpaths that would not update with the correct feeds and speeds. Today I just finished programming a large project and went to calc feeds and speeds and every single tool will not calc the correct feeds and speeds. When I manually type in the feeds and speeds in the tool parameters, I know that will work, but the toolpaths will not update. I tried doing what others have suggested in this thread, but nothing is working. I saved some of the geometry to a separate file and imported the toolpaths from the current file and that does not work. I started a new file and made a quick toolpath and had no issues, so somewhere along the way Is there a way to salvage this without having to redo all of the toolpaths, that would be great.
  7. I have been using area selection to quickly clean up data clouds that I export to CAD from Verisurf. However, I am only able to use area selection from the Top gview. Is that the only way area selection can be used or is there someting I am missing? Thanks Jon
