  1. i have a haas and work with g54 and g55 in the work offset page you can also set Z on the offset page. Which is how i do it, it works well for me. If you sort by operation to reduce toolchanges you will go from g54 to g55) but will not g54 or g55 your Z (until your next z move). If there is a bigger diference in actual height than clerance above part WATCH OUT . I read about that in a book
  2. thats what I started with and it gave me the error 3 times so I changed it. I will try it again tomorrow. If it worked for you might be a comp problem been kinda touchie lately. Thanks for the help
  3. I have loaded the file to the ftp. I have programed the part on the left but the part on the right gives me no vaild machine zone. The data sould be the same just rotated.the parameters are there and the red x on the scallop toolpath that I'm having a problem. It's just driving nuts what i doin wrong.   5. Thanks for all the replies. Looks like i will get more practice with the new system. Have to play with the different settings in autosave. Still wish they would leave .bak like autocad does has saved me many times. well Pete and Repete
  6. I just overwrote my mc9 file with all the toolpaths,I made a nc file but 2operations were at the wrong wcs. Is there any way to bring that file back like in Autocad they always make .bak file. Does mastercam ever do anything like that (I never seen any) Any OR all sugestions would be helpful. Thanks

  8. I was afraid of that,I've upgraded from ver6 to ver9 and have got my hands full. So thats when the dnc craps after what was looking like a sucessful tool path finally? Then I get another problem with the hasp yet the jobs are still due! OH well try again tomorrow. Thanks Again for the help P.S. This forum has helped alot Beer Tme
  9. Thanks for the replies. Hasp is white. I am now just trying to get mastercam to run again (no trying to dnc thru Parallel Port DOH!!) The hasp is the first and only sim on port. reinstalled everything (my troubleshooting method). Enter utility says hasp not initialized on bottom hit read it shows hasp found with all correct info, hit ok. Will not run, have updated says Hasp updated same thing will not run. Everytime I go back into utility it says not hasp not initialized. How do I initialize?? Thanks Bob
  10. Have been switching between 2 comps home and work. Dnc machine quit(over network) tried to hook up to back of my comp.with adapter into hasp to dnc from mastercam, ever since then I get (sim not Initialized) when starting up. When i hit read(in the utility)says hasp found,everthing is right: serial#,mill level,date unlimited. Have tried updating says it took update but I get the same thing. Please Help P.S. Great forum glad I found it! Bob
