  1. The programs are created under same machine group and each program is posted as separate NC file. These are mostly mold cavity shape machining plus cavity# programs like 01-30 engraved on 3d surface in same setup. Ideally Mastercam should automatically increment program# 1, 2, 3, 4....automatically when we change the "NC File Name" instead of going thru the programs twice once to change NC file name & then to change program#, just a suggestion.
  2. Thanks GM, Some of my programs have 25-30 NC files and it is pain to change the "NC file name" & then change the "Program#". Does anybody know better way to accomplish this?
  3. Is there any way to output sequential program# like O0001, O0002, O0003 automatically without manually editing the program# in mastercam. % O0001(TOP) (FILE - \\HAASVF4\DATA\14441\TOP\) DATE=12-06-13 TIME=09:05) (T1 | 1/4 FLAT ENDMILL) Can it be automated in post?: *progno$, "(",sprogname$,")", e$ Thanks
  4. Hello Gunther, The Z-Min dimension output for is incorrect for 3d surface tool paths. Mcam X6MU1. Could you please look into this?
  5. All of a sudden this morning... I am unable to open Solidworks 2011 files in Mastercam X5 MU1. I get error message "Cant find parasolid data in the file". I opened same files last week without any problems. Help!
  6. Hey Ron, Thanks for quick answer, it worked. One more question...Can I add a seprator/space between 2 separate NC programs in X+?
  7. Is it possible in x+ setup sheet to output Tool diameter and Max Z depth to 3 decimal places? The default output is only 2 decimal places. Thanks
  8. Does anybody have geometry available for a GLOBE that may have been used for marketing/show purposes or something.
  9. How do I modify my post to force to output same length offset# as tool#, regardless of what it is in tool defination.
  10. I find this out the hard way, there is bug in V9SP1(May 6 2002): 1. Make any toolpath with Wrk Ofs "0"(eg: circle mill) 2. Transform this op. by Co-ordinate. 3. Copy Circle mill ops, below first circle mill op. 4. Change work ofs on 2nd Cicle mill op. to "1". 5. Click parameter on TRANSFORM op. & choose 2nd circle mill operation (deselect the first one). 6. Regenrate. 7. Post TRANSFORMED op. It will out put "g54" instead of "g55", means it is loosing associativity when I selected the operation with Workofs "1". I am using Mpmaster Post. This problem is repatable if we follow the same steps. I know it worked fine in V8.1.1 I hope QC dept. is aware of this bug. Hope to get a patch soon.
  11. What is "motst" in Mpmaster post(latest rev.) The NC program was not outputting the feedrate, so I took it out of my post. Can anyone explain me its function in the post.
  12. You can Sketch on on any bitmap using studio shading on the surfaces using the bitmap as texture (using studio shading) & then sketch on the outlines of bitmap to get the geometry. Let me know if it works.
  13. Can someone give me a complete list of ops used in post files, like op04 is Pocket, op 19 is Facing. I am looking for op #'s for rest mill, leftover, circle mill toolpaths. Thanks
